Medical Research Lounge (MRL) is pleased to announce a new research training program for clinicians preparing for the #USMLE. The program is designed to assist clinicians develop the skills and knowledge they need to conduct research independently and contribute to evidence generation, and gain valuable experience that will help them on their USMLE journey.

The program will cover a wide range of topics starting from formulating a research question to publishing in a peer reviewed journal and presenting findings in conferences. It will be delivered in a flexible format that allows clinicians to fit it into their busy schedules. There will be a mix of online modules, live webinars, and one-on-one mentorship.

The training packages include:
SILVER PACKAGE
- Research training (the training type and duration depends on the type of data the trainee brings)
- The trainee brings his/her own data
- The trainee leads/does the write up and publication process
- MRL assigns an advisor to consult the trainee throughout the write up and publication process.
- The trainee and his/her team members will be the authors of the article
- Expected number of publications  Depends on the data the trainee brings

GOLD PACKAGE
- Research training (the training depends on the type of data the trainee brings)
- The trainee brings his/her own data
- MRL assigns a researcher to assist the trainee in the write up and publication process
- The trainee will be the principal investigator of the article and the assigned MRL researcher will be included as the co-author of the article
- Expected number of publications  Depends on the data the trainee brings

PLATINUM PACAKGE
- Research training
• 02 weeks on case report write up and publication AND 01 month on original article design, analysis, write up
OR
• 01 month on original article design, analysis, write up and publication AND 01 month on review article design, analysis, write up and publication
- MRL provides data for the training and publication purpose
- MRL assigns a researcher to assist the trainee in the write up and publication process
- The assigned MRL researcher will be the principal investigator of the article and the trainee will be included as the co-author of the article
- Expected number of publications —> Two publications

ሰሞኑን በSocial Media ሲዘዋወር የነበረው "የኢትዮጵያ ዶክተሮች ማከም አይችሉም" ብለው ሲናገሩ ሲቀባበሉት አይተናል።የተለያዩ የህክምና ባለሙያዎችም ይህንን አስተሳሰብ ትክክል እንዳልሆነ በተለያየ መንገድ ለማስረዳት ሞክረዋል። የህክምና ባለሙያዎች እዚህ ሙግት ውስጥ የገቡት ለህብረተሰቡ ጤና ታስቦ፣ ጤና ቅድሚያ የሚሰጠው ነገር በመሆኑ ጥንቃቄ እንድናርግ በማሰብ ነው።
ከዚህ በላይ ግን እንዴት እንደተማርን ሰባቱን ዓመታት በምን አይነት መንገድ አልፈን መምጣታችንን አሁንም እንዴት እያገለገልን እንደሆነ ማስረዳት የሚጠበቅብን አይመስለኝም፡፡

የህክምና አገልግሎት አያስፈልግም ብለው ለሚያምኑ ሰዎች ባህርዛፍና የመሳሰሉትን ማሳደጊያ ሰፊ መሬት ቢሰጣቸውና ተክለው ቢጠቀሙ መልካም ይመስለኛል😁፡፡የባህላዊ ህክምና ጥቅም የለውም እያልኩ እንዳልሆነ ለማስገንዘብ እወዳለሁ ነገር ግን አጠቃቀማችን እስከምን ድረስ ነው?በምን አይነት መልኩ ነው መጠቀም ያለብን? በህክምና የሚታዘዙ መድሀኒቶችን ይተካሉ ወይ? የሚለው ትኩረት የሚያስፈልገው ነገር ነው፡፡

👉ህክምና ፈልጎ ፣ ተቸግሮ፣ ጤናው አሳስቦት የመጣውን ህበረተሰብ በሰላም እናገልግልበት፡፡

Anyways as we are on the additional ቀን of 2016 (ጳጉሜ 06 ) የሀኪሞችን ትግል ደካማ እንድሆን ያደረጉት ብዬ የማስባቸውን ሁለት ምክንያቶች ላስቀምጥ።

1, ግምገማ አለማድረግ
የዛሬ 05 አመት ገደማ የህክምና ተማሪ በነበርኩበት ግዜ ትልቅ የሃኪሞች ንቅናቄ ነበር ። ትዝ ይለኛል strike ሁላ ተሞክሮ ነበር ፣ እና ግን ያ ተስፋ የጣልንበት ትግል all of a sudden ከሽፎ አየነው።
ለምን? እንዴት? ምን ተሳሳትን ብሌን ለመጠየቅ ለምን ፈራን? እርግጥ ነው ለትግሉ መክሸፍ ብዙ ምከንያቶችን መደርደር ይቻላል ፤ ነገር ግን እኛ ሀኪሞች ጋር የነበረውን፤ አለመናበብ ፣ መጠላለፍ ፣ የግል ጥቅም ለማስጠበቅ ብቻ መሯሯጥ ፣የሀኪሞችን ፍትሀዊ ጥየቄ ለግል የፖለቲካ አላማቸው ማስፈፀሚያ ለማድረግ ለምፈልግ አካል በር መከፈት እና የመሳሰሉትን ችግሮች internalize አድርገው ከነሱ በመማር ወደፊት መግፋት ያስፈልጋል።

2, የትግል አቅጣጫ
ድሮ ድሮ ትልቁ ጥየቄ የነበረው የሀኪሞች የleadership በታዎች ላይ አለመገኘት ነበር። አሁን ግን በየቦታው ሀኪሞች leader ሆነው አይተናቸዋል። እነዚህ በእኛ ትግል ወደስልጣን የወጡ ሀኪሞች ለእኛ ምን ጥቅም አስገኙልን ብሌን መጠየቅ ተገቢ ነው ። በእኔ እይታ ምንም!
ለምሳሌ ፤ ጠቅላይ ምንስትሩ ሀኪሞችን ሰብስበው ትንሽ information ብቻ ይዘው ስለሀኪሞች እንደዛ ስናገሩ ፣ አጠገባቸው ቁጭ ብሎ የነበረው የጤና ምንስትር ሀኪም ነበር ! ነገር ግን እኛን defend ስያደርገን አላየነውም። ስለዚህ የትግል አቅጣጫችን ውጭያዊ ብቻ ሳይሆን ውስጣዊም መሆን አለበት ባይ ነኝ።

በመጨረሻም ለሁሉም የጤና ባለሙያዎች መልካም አድስ ዓመትን እየተመኘሁ ፣ አዲሱ ዓመት በአንድነት ሆነን #ሰላማዊ_ትግል ብቻ😁 የምናደርግበት ዓመት ይሁንልን እላለሁ ።

ከአመታት በፊት ጠቅላላ ሃኪም እያለው የገጠማኝን ላካፍላችሁ

ትንሽ ቆየት ብሏል አንድ ታዋቂ ሁላችንም የምንወደው አርቲስት ያርፋል። በሰዓቱም ብዙ ሚዲያዎች የስፖርት ጋዜጠኞች ሳይቀሩ አርቲስቱ "ቶንሲል ታሞ ሂዶ በህክምና ስህተት አረፈ!" ብለው ዘገቡት- ማንሳት የፈለኩት እሱን አይደለም። ማንሳት የፈለኩት ይህ በሆነ በ3ኛ ቀኑ ወደምሰራበት ሆስፒታል የ 7 አመት ልጇን ይዛ ስለመጣች እናት ነው።

ይህች እናት ልጇ ከፍተኛ ትኩሳት እንዳለውና እና ምግብ መዋጥ እንዳቃተው ታስረዳናለች ቶንሲሉም አብጦ መግል ሚመስሉ ጠብታዎች ይታዩበት ነበር። የላብራቶሪ ውጤቱ ሁሉም "Acute Tonsilopharyngitis" በተለምዶ 'ቶንሲል' ሚባለው ህመምን ያመላክቱ ነበር። ይህ በሽታ ደሞ በመድሃኒት እንደሚድን ስንነግራት ድንገት ቱግ አለች "ልጄን ልትገሉብኝ!" ብላ በእናትነት ልብ ለልጇ ሳሳች - ይዛው ቤት ሄደች። ከዛ በኋላ ልጁ ህክምናውን እንዳልወሰደ እንጂ ቤት ውስጥ ምን እንደተፈጠረ አላውቅም።

ሁኔታው ግን በጣም ያስገረመኝ ከ2 ወራት ገደማ በኋላ ነበር። ድንገት የህፃናት ተኝቶ መታከሚያ ውስጥ ስገባ ይህ ህፃን አልጋ ይዞ ሲታከም አየሁት። 'ይህን ልጅ አውቀዋለው'! ብዬ ተጠጋሁ። እናትየው ተሰብራ ጭምት ብላ ከጎኑ አገኘዋት። "የልብ ህመም ነው ብለውኝ ተኝቶ እየታከመ ነው። ምንም ለውጥ የለውም አለቺኝ" ። እዝኜ ሄድኩ። ይህ ቶንሲል ሚያመጡ group A Streptococcus ሚባሉ ባክቴሪያዎች በጊዜ ካልታከሙ ከጥቂት ሳምንታት በኋላ autoimmune በሚባል ሂደት Rheumatic Fever የሚባል የልብ በሽታን የማምጣት አቅም አላቸው። የልጁም ህመም ይህ ነበር። አሁንም ይህ የልብ ህመም በበቂ ካልታከመ ወይንም ከመታከሙ በፊት ሰፊ ጉዳት ካደረሰ የማይድን የልብ ህመም / Heart failure ውስጥ ይከታል ባስ ካለም ይገላል።

ሁሌም በሚዲያ፣ በአሉባልታ፣ በመሰለኝ እና በይሆናል የምንወስናቸው የጤና ውሳኔዎች ከጊዜ በኋላ የሚያመጡብን መዘዝ አይታወቅምና። መረጃዎችን እንመርምር!
