Quick update on the effort to establish a USMLE testing center in Ethiopia:
From what we have been able to gather, a joint effort involving P2P, Addis Ababa University, and the Ministry of Health has already completed the required preparations and formally submitted a request to Prometric for approval. At this point, the process is awaiting a response.
Itโs worth noting that USMLE testing centers are part of a global system managed by Prometric, so final approval doesnโt depend only on local readiness.
Still, reaching this stage is a meaningful step forward. It shows that the groundwork has been done and the conversation is now at the decision level.
