Dr. Abebe Mezgeb (GP) and Sr. Tiguaded Admass (ECCN), who work at Finoteselam General Hospital, identified a common issue with intubated patientsโaccess to a salbutamol inhaler.
With their creative thinking, they managed to prepare a salbutamol inhaler for intubated patients using readily available materials at their hospital.
There are many healthcare professionals out there who, alongside their medical expertise, have a knack for fixing instrumentsโwhether electrical or mechanicalโlike engineers. If given the opportunity, they could likely make our hospitals more operational than non-medical biomedical engineers.

Dr. Amir Aman left the country for good followed by Dr Lia. Possibly Dr.Mekdes will follow.
At that time, there was an original video of this event available online (showing every detail of the questions and answers), but it has since been removed, and we can no longer find it. What remains now is a polished version of the video.

"My decision was largely driven by my passion, though it was somewhat influenced by the seniors who had already joined the department.
During my internship, I encountered a patient with a radioulnar fracture who had undergone a beautifully executed plate fixation abroad. When I saw her X-ray, I was astonished. Even though the surgery was relatively simple, it was rare at that time to find a patient who had received such treatment.
6 years ago, as an intern at UoG, most patients were treated with POP, external fixation, and traction. Today, most fractures can be fixed at UoG. I am continually impressed by the rapid growth of the Orthopedics department.
