Meanwhile, the scammer became so emboldened that he openly boasted about his schemes on Discord, and came to the attention of the police after being stopped in a luxurious Rolls-Royce.

😂 Your refrigerator will be able to earn on ETH staking or launch memecoins to pay for groceries — and this is no longer fantasy, stated the head of the American regulator CFTC Michael Selig.
According to him, AI agents will be able to independently manage cryptocurrency, trade and make purchases, which is why it's time for regulators to think about KYA (Know Your Agent) — "Know Your Agent," by analogy with banking KYC.

⚠️ Details of the Binance hack have become known — hackers likely gained access to the transaction signing system via the exchange's DevOps engineer's laptop, which allowed them to penetrate a service container and initiate fund withdrawals without stealing private keys.
To attack one of the hot Ethereum wallets, the attackers used the EIP-7702 mechanism from the Pectra update — they pre-prepared 50 signed authorizations with sequential numbers, one of which triggered and transferred control of the wallet to a malicious smart contract.
In just three minutes, the contract withdrew 167,464 ETH, 1.615 billion USDT, and more than 60 other tokens.
Simultaneously, hackers were draining Binance wallets in nine other blockchains using regular transactions with valid signatures — TRM Labs analysts believe that the attackers gained the ability to use Binance's signing system for multiple networks at once, but the exact method of infrastructure compromise is still being investigated.

⚛️ A quantum computer might only need 62 minutes to crack a Bitcoin private key — according to calculations by French startup Alice & Bob, this would require around 29,600 physical qubits — 17 times less than Google's March estimate Google.
6.26 million BTC with already disclosed public keys are under potential threat, although quantum computers with such capabilities do not yet exist.

🔐 Following Ledger a spy module was discovered also in the hardware wallet Trezor Safe 5, purchased from reseller CryptoBilis — a hidden board with a cellular modem could read the seed phrase from the device's screen and transmit it to attackers.
Trezor is currently investigating the discovery and has not reported any loss of funds, but recommends that everyone who purchased wallets from CryptoBilis since March 2026 urgently transfer cryptocurrency to a new wallet with a new seed phrase.

The investigation showed that the hack turned out to be more complex than the initial version involving a compromised engineer's laptop — additional points of penetration were discovered, and about $3 billion in stolen assets have already been frozen.
The exchange promises to fully cover the losses from its own funds and the SAFU fund.
