Valencia are in talks with Liverpool over a potential loan deal for Harvey Elliott.

Elliott has been excluded from Liverpool's matchday squads for their opening two Premier League games as he faces an uncertain future at the club after spending the 2025-26 season on loan at Aston Villa.

Valencia maintain that Elliott, who has also attracted interest from Italy, is one of a number of options they are looking at as they seek to strengthen their attack.

Liverpool have announced the signing of Bradley Barcola from PSG in a £123m deal - £106m guaranteed with a further £17m in add-ons.
The France international has penned a five-year contract and will wear the No 29 shirt.

Juventus are holding talks with Newcastle United over a potential loan transfer for Nick Woltemade.

The 24-year-old striker was an unused substitute in Newcastle’s season-opening 2-2 draw against Liverpool, with Yoane Wissa and William Osula preferred by head coach Matthias Jaissle in the central attacking areas. He then made a 20-minute cameo appearance in the two-goal win at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Germany international’s terms at St James’ Park run until 2031, having joined Newcastle on a six-year contract last summer in a club-record deal worth €75million (£64.2m; $87.5m) plus €5m in potential add-ons.

Dortmund remain hopeful of signing the 19-year-old, who is yet to make an appearance this season.

Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Como to send goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to the Serie A club on a season-long loan.

Chelsea have been looking to find Sanchez a new club since deciding to sign Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5m on Thursday to replace him as first choice.

RB Leipzig have agreed a deal in the region of €16million with Chelsea for the transfer of Marc Guiu.

Chelsea will retain a significant sell-on clause for the 20-year-old, who joined from Barcelona for €6m.

Leeds United and Nice have agreed a deadline day loan deal for left-back Melvin Bard.

The Premier League side will pay a €1million (£860,000) loan fee for the 25-year-old.

The full-back is scheduled to fly in from France on Tuesday to conclude a season-long arrangement, which Leeds have the option to make permanent for €5million (£4.3m).

Fulham are close to an agreement to sign Sweden international midfielder Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Larsson, 22, joined Frankfurt from Swedish club Malmo in 2023 and has made 83 Bundesliga appearances in the three years since.

Michael Keane is expected to remain at Everton after West Ham United saw an enquiry rejected for the defender.

The Championship club are looking to strengthen their defensive stocks before the deadline and asked about taking Keane, 33, on a permanent deal. They were informed that the former Manchester United and Burnley defender is not available, with Everton unlikely to source a suitable replacement in time.
