Liverpool are set to table an opening bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The France international has emerged as Liverpoolβs top target in the transfer market as they look to replace Mohamed Salah, who left the club at the end of last season.
Barcola, who has two years remaining on his current deal, is understood to be keen on moving to Anfield.
PSG have indicated that they value Barcola at around Β£145million but Liverpool have no intention of going that high to secure his services.
They will look to do a deal closer to Β£100m given that the player has made it clear he wonβt sign a new contract at PSG and wants to embark on a new challenge on Merseyside.

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez will miss the start of the new Premier League season due to the muscle injury he suffered during their current pre-season tour of the US.
The 29-year-old defenderβs absence leaves Liverpool short at centre-back with captain Virgil van Dijk starting his pre-season back on Merseyside this week rather than travelling to the US.
New signing Jeremy Jacquet has yet to feature in the friendlies as he builds up his fitness, while Giovanni Leoni is in the final stages of his rehab after a serious knee injury.
Teenagers Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye have been the only available centre-backs, with full-back Luke Chambers also filling in there.

Concacaf, the confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean, says it rejects FIFAβs plans to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors.
All 41 members of Concacaf met on Thursday to discuss the proposals.
One source with knowledge of the meeting, speaking on the condition of anonymity to protect relationships, said the feeling and discussion expressed among the vast majority of Concacaf members was that they are losing confidence, or have lost confidence altogether in Gianni Infantino as FIFA President.
