Bournemouth have rejected an offer from Chelsea for midfielder Alex Scott and expect him to stay at the club this summer.

Bournemouth sources indicated that Scott is expected to remain with the south coast side regardless of his contract situation.

William Saliba is set to avoid surgery after sustaining an injury on World Cup duty with France.

The 25-year-old defender was substituted after half an hour of France’s 2-0 World Cup semi-final defeat to Spain, having started in all bar one match at the tournament.

Arsenal have now confirmed that the centre-back will not have surgery but will have a period on the sidelines.
