"He only wants to remain at United if he stays in England. Otherwise, he'd consider moves to elite European clubs such as Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.

"If Rashford stays, United could avoid spending on a new winger, saving both a transfer fee and agent commissions, allowing more funds to be directed towards midfield.

"The club must also decide whether to sell Joshua Zirkzee, and for what fee, as that will play a key role in determining their budget."
