Unai Emery is a huge admirer of the forward, but the 29-year-old, who has four years left on his contract, has not decided whether he wishes to leave. Industry sources say they would expect talks for the player to start at £50m, but sources at West Ham, who were relegated to the Championship last season, have indicated they are not looking to sell.

Chelsea are interested in Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix. Palace would prefer to keep their squad together, but their strategy has typically been to develop players and sell for a profit, which can then be reinvested. Palace are not under significant pressure to sell as the 26-year-old has three years on his contract. They would consider striking a deal at the right price, but would need to have a replacement identified before allowing Lacroix to leave.
