1. Use VMware and disable the Automatic Sample Submission feature on your antivirus software.
2. Update your antivirus to the latest version.
3. Create a snapshot of your VMware environment before testing.
4. Drag and drop your file into VMware—do not copy and paste the file.
5. Scan your file before running it, and do not execute the file.
6. After testing, restore your VMware to the previous snapshot to maintain a clean environment.
