Academic Reading Passage

Many people today want to live a healthy life.

A healthy lifestyle includes good eating habits, regular exercise, and enough sleep. Eating fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help the body get vitamins and minerals. Drinking water instead of sugary drinks is also important.

Exercise is another key part of a healthy lifestyle. Walking, swimming, and cycling are good ways to stay fit. People who exercise regularly often feel happier and have more energy.

Sleep is also essential. Adults usually need 7–9 hours of sleep each night. Without enough sleep, it is harder to concentrate, and people can feel tired and stressed.

Living a healthy lifestyle is not always easy. Busy work schedules, lack of motivation, or unhealthy habits can make it difficult. However, small changes, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or eating a fruit every day, can make a big difference.
