#Q&A

Question: ...I have problem with my listening skills and I can't get over it . Everytime I practice and mock my skills , it's always 8 , but I want to get 8.5 or 9 for listening. I listen carefully to a lot of podcasts and being really focused whilst listening (I do it on a daily basis). How can I overcome this barrier , and finally achieving higher score than I do now?

Answer: ...As for your problematic area, the best thing you can do is analyzing your answers after the test. You have to prove yourself why you got that answer correct or wrong (yes, both). It can be cuz of vocab, accent, grammar, comprehension or even accent. Once you find your weak point, never do the same mistake again. For example, if you have a problem with the spelling of "tail", write down this word 50 times to ensure that you won't have a hardtime to write it again. That's when you'll notice the improvement.

P.s. While analyzing, it's a good idea to look for paraphrasing. You need to see in what way they give the answers (a.k.a. familiarization).

P.s.1 Pauline Cullen is the author of some books of Cambridge Publishing House (e.g. "Key to IELTS," "Grammar for IELTS," and "Official Guide"), so the decision is yours: Who's more trustworthy? A random online IELTS tutor who's trying to attract more people or the reputable writer and the ex-examiner?

P.s.2 No worries, the video is in pure english☺️

Ever heard of Oxymorons?

They're phrases or statements that seem to say two opposite things.🕺💬 Imagine a 'bitter sweet' moment or a 'pretty ugly' truth.

Here's more:

🤫Open Secret: Something everyone knows but pretends not to.

😑😆Seriously Funny: Jokes with a dash of gravity.

😱Same Difference: Differences that don't make a difference.

😮‍💨Agree to disagree: To stop trying to persuade smn that you are right about sth

Let these wordy contradictions make your speech shinier by deeper diving into oxymorons🧠
