Comparison is the thief of joy. I regret comparing myself to others when I was younger. What works for others doesn’t always work for you. It’s okay to admire others, but don’t envy them. Focus on personal improvement, embrace emotional maturity, and pursue your passions. The rest will take care of itself.

Suicide harms more people than just the person committing it. It has a strong and lasting effect on everyone around you, Everyone is loved, everyone has a purpose, and everyone has a life waiting to be lived ahead of them. There are always other options, so do not be afraid to reach out to others for help. Things can and will get better over time, and we are all stronger than our past and the problems we’ve had. Even at our weakest moment, we are stronger than we think, and we can get through it.

If you haven’t watched the series β€œ13 Reasons Why” I highly recommend you. The past week this was one of the things that kept me busy. It will change the way you think, act, and speak and will help you to become more aware of the consequences of everything you do and say. It implicitly teaches you the signs to look for when someone may be suicidal and will have a lasting impact on the way you live your life.
Doubt kills. The person who stops you from doing everything you want to do, who stops you from being completely free, who stops you from being healthy, happy, and passionateβ€”is you.

Health is underestimated. Our well-being is more important than most of us treat it: without health, nothing else matters. Health is power, above all.

What if you were able to look at your fears, understand them, and replace them with a network of principles that allow you to stand tall in the face of challenges? Imagine if you were able to ask yourself β€œHow will this strengthen me?” instead of β€œHow will this hurt me?”… GUESS WHAT? YOU CAN!!

Don’t Lose Faith In People Or Relationships
It is easy to assume that all men or women are bad or untrustworthy after a break-up and feeling very hurt, but this just isn’t true. By holding on to this belief you will be denying yourself all kinds of opportunities for a great relationship in the future. We can’t over-generalize from our limited relationship history and assume that it will never work out. Keep shopping! The more people you meet, the greater the chance you will find your best match.

Don't make women the mission of your life.
No human in this world can fill the emptiness inside of you. You need to fill that hole for yourself. You fill it with purpose, meaning, a vision for your future, goals, excellence, pride, and grit. Women don’t even want to be the mission. They want to join you on the mission.

Understand that break-ups are often an Inevitable part of dating. Remember that many of our dating relationships will end up in a break-up. This is the very nature of dating. Until we find our best match, we are going to be moving in and out of relationships, so expect it. This way, we won’t feel so devastated when it does happen. Relationships usually end for some good reasons and they should end if we want to find our most suitable partner. Of course, no match will be perfect and we have to decide how long to keep looking and what we can live with. Finding a complementary partner is more than about love and therefore, it is going to likely take many dating relationships to find.

Enjoy the meanderings, the soul-searching, the loves lost, the time wasted. All of it will add up to a complex and very unique β€˜you.’ The more you appreciate right now, the more the future will become a fantastic reality. Don’t pressure yourself to be in the future.

Try new things and widen your horizons. Try something you’ve always wanted to but never got around to, something that scares you, something that is very different from what you normally do.

Have a great weekend!

Don’t be needy.
Being needy and chasing can go hand-in-hand. If you want to see him 24/7, text him 24/7, and basically think the world resolves around him, well, you’re being needy. Needy behavior is suffocating for people, especially men. You think these behaviors will help you hold on to him, but it actually has the opposite effect – it pushes him away.

Fun is underrated.
How much of your daily life is fun?
Really fun? Life is short. You should enjoy it. Don’t make things serious that don’t have to be. Create more fun in your life. Don’t worry about what other people think of your fun. Just enjoy it.

Anger is never the answer. It’s okay to be sad, disappointed, lost. But being angry never brought anything good. It’s impossible to feel kindness and anger at the same time. You can’t put yourself in someone else’s shoes when you’re angry at them. Don’t be angry.

Increase pleasure and fun. Look for beauty everywhere. It could be the sound of birds singing or the sun shining. Treat yourself often. Plan a day every now and then you get to do nothing or do what you love doing.

It's OK to say you're sorry, but if you don't correct yourself you're full of it.
An apology without correction is manipulation.
Using sorry as a band-aid for something that requires deeper healing is awful and can cause infection. Literally and figuratively.
