God being so just can't let injustice and sin go unpunished. And so His wrath rains on earth on all the sinful people and the corrupt system.

But only those sheltered in Christ are protected from God's wrath.

Gentle reminder that Jesus didn't have to bleed out to wash away the world's sin.

Just a drop of Jesus' blood is enough to cleanse the universe of it's sins.

That first drop of blood when they put a crown of thorns on His head was pure enough to get rid of sin from earth.

That first whip on His back was enough to heal all diseases and disabilities.

BUT YET AGAIN, Jesus chose to go through it all. Not just 1 lash but 39, not just a drop of blood but died of bloodloss.

We have been loved, and we've been loved incomparably.

Remember when Paul was persecuting christian people in Damascus? And then Jesus appeared to him and said "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4)

Paul persecuted believers, but Jesus felt persecuted. Paul tortured and killed random believing people not Jesus. But Jesus was the one that felt persecuted and tortured.

Simply put, believers are one body with Christ or as a nice person once said "እኔን የነካ ሰማይ ነካ፤ እኔን የነካ የሚጋጨው ከሌላ አካል ጋር ነው።"

If you are a believer thinking you're a separate entity from Christ, you're wrong. On that day of believing, you've been attached to the body of Christ in which He is the head and we are the organs.

“እንዲሁም እኛ ብዙዎች ስንሆን በክርስቶስ አንድ አካል ነን። እያንዳንዳችንም የሌላው ብልት ነን።”
