Here's something I've noticed about Sin:

When we sin, God remains the same! But we don't!

Our sins don't separate God from us, He lives in us, and our sins can't cast Him out, they're just not that strong. Not sin too great for His mercy and grace.

BUT when we sin, we change. Our heart hardenes harder and harder by every sin. So much so that at some point it'll completely reject God. Sin turns us away from God, deafens our spiritual ears, blinds our spiritual eyes and leads to more disobedience. And solidifies so much we will never repent.

And so fear and avoid sin not because God leaves you when you do it, He doesn't! But because it makes you leave God.
