⚠️JUST IN: A fake crypto exchange promoted on Google has stolen $300K+

Hundreds of victims lost all of their cryptocurrency after attempting to swap on the fake exchange, which is paying to appear at the top of Google search results.

One victim lost 40 ETH ($107K), while other victims lost over $200K combined.

⚠️JUST IN: An unknown Solana wallet was exploited, with over $400K stolen

Hundreds of victims lost all of their SOL and memecoin holdings. One victim lost 1,600 SOL ($190K), while other victims lost over $230K combined.

⚠️JUST IN: NEAR Intents exploited, with $3.8M+ stolen

Per ZachXBT, an unknown actor gained access to NEAR Intents’ hot wallets, likely through social engineering, and stole nearly $4M.

NEAR Intents has acknowledged the theft and paused deposits to the affected hot wallet.

⚠️JUST IN: NEAR Intents hacker who stole $4M has returned all funds after being identified

The CEO posted a message telling the attacker they had identified him. Shortly after, the attacker begged to return the stolen funds to avoid facing consequences.

The attacker returned 100% of the stolen funds, kept nothing and wrote an apology for the theft.

Coinbase says attackers are impersonating police officers and FBI agents, telling victims they will be “arrested” unless they share their seed phrase or transfer their cryptocurrency.

@medusa was arrested in Jordan one week after the group announced it had hacked the FBI and accessed its data.

He is now cooperating with law enforcement and giving investigators information to help track down other members.
