They’re offering over $10M+ to the hacker if he returns the funds. If he refuses, Balancer says they’ll spend that bounty on legal action and on-chain investigators to trace him.

The last two times this happened, hackers ended up returning the stolen money in exchange for the bounty.

The woman behind one of the largest crypto scam operations was sentenced today to up to 14 years in prison in the UK. Authorities currently hold the entire Bitcoin stash.

🇨🇳 JUST IN: China released a statement implying the U.S. may have had a role in the 2020 LuBian hack.

They questioned how the DOJ was able to obtain 127K BTC, and stated that the U.S. benefited after claiming legal ownership of the stolen Bitcoin.

The report also suggests U.S. agencies could have been involved in tracing, recovering, or even secretly controlling the stolen coins.
