Nevada police reportedly stopped and searched a man, finding a piece of paper containing a series of words.
Those words were allegedly his crypto walletβs seed phrase. After the bodycam footage showing the paper became public, his wallet was reportedly drained of around $1.1 million.
Lesson: Never expose your seed phrase. If you need to store it physically, keep it somewhere secure and private where cameras, strangers, or public footage canβt reveal it.
The footage is old, but the security lesson still matters.

According to community reports, the user was redirected through the expired tornado.cash domain, which had reportedly been taken over by an attacker. A fake Tornado Cash frontend was then used to steal the victimβs deposit credentials, resulting in the loss of 1,010 ETH within 12 hours.
The original domain reportedly expired after Tornado Cashβs team failed to renew it amid OFAC sanctions. Attackers subsequently registered the domain and used it for phishing.
Blockchain tracking reportedly shows most of the stolen funds remain in addresses controlled by the attackers.
The same group is allegedly linked to nearly 4,000 ETH in similar thefts over the past year.

Crypto neobank Avici is facing an ongoing attack, with over $1 million in assets drained from card-collateral accounts on its Solana-based platform, the attacker caught laundering funds using tornado cash.
Avici says all affected users will be fully compensated.
