I see you twinkling in the sky, shimmering in Van Gogh’s eye
Sparkling as the starseed you really are; you’ve come so far

Born unto the facsimile Earth, all memory erased
Not one iota of your talents; of the children you once raised

I see you.

You never felt accepted, you never felt the same
Your friends and family alien; often seemed insane

They pointed fingers at you, and laughed behind your back
Whilst you danced with fairies and angels; you were on a different track

I see you.

You felt alone, you did your best, you smiled through all the pain
They beat you and abused you: they knew you’d come to end their reign

As winters came and summers left, the leaves fell over years
The spirit voice inside your soul grew louder through your tears

I see you.

They broke you down, they tricked you, they stabbed you through your heart
They feasted on your effervescence, they relished you apart

They stole your youth, they stole your money; convinced you they were right
But every time they ripped you open, closer came their night

I see you.

Like the caterpillar at the end of life, entombed inside the cocoon
The heroes journey final act; when all seems certain doom

Those belittled words of faith and belief, diminish amidst the noise
Yet you hold on, you won’t let go; for the battle you are poised

I see you.

Deep, deep down, you hear the cry, in remembrance you answer “Yes!”
The fight was laid before you: to come is yet the best

Besmirched, belittled, tossed aside, you nearly lost your way
Letting go of all beloveds; you tried your truth to say

I see you.

As the veil it dissipated, as all the solids melted
The remnants left fought their way to sovereignty, once doubted

You stood your ground, you found your power, your strength became unbounded
For you are the warrior child of this world; in your brilliance our future founded.
