▪️ Units of the 46th Separate Assault Battalion of the AFU´s 53rd Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery and UAVs, attempted to flank the advancing Russian Forces from the direction of #Kleshcheevka. The attack was repulsed.

Ukrainian artillery is shelling the areas of the Russian advance in #Zaitsevo, #Otradovka, east of #Soledar, the area of the asphalt works and the outskirts of #Opytnoye with barrage fire.

▪️ In the #Seversk sector, separate units of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU conducted a reconnaissance battle near #Serebryanka.

The Russian soldiers sucessfully repulsed the attack. The forces of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade suffered losses in personnel and equipment. The command of the Brigade plans to resume the counterattack in the #Seversk and #Soledar areas to regain control over the lost positions.

In recent days, unreliable information has appeared about the situation in the #Bakhmut direction. Therefore, I have contacted the guys on the ground and am reporting to you the true situation as of 8 November 2022:

▪️ Wagner PMC units have eliminated one of the two strongholds on the #Nikolaevka 2 - Gorlovka road section and advanced towards #Kurdyumovka;

▪️ Musicians also eliminated four AFU strongholds west of #Otradovka, advancing significantly towards #Andreevka and #Kleshcheevka;

▪️ The #Soledar suburb of #Bakhmutskoye was completely cleared; the Wagnerians joined their right flank with units of the 6th Cossack Regiment of the LPR People's Militia at the KNAUF-Gypsum factory;

▪️ The storming of #Belogorovka continues. Wagner PMC units expanded their control zone in the village to the north of the road. In #Belogorovka itself, AFU units have established a major stronghold - the advance is complicated by heavy mine contamination, private buildings with long-term firing points and dugouts connected by communication passages.

▪️ Fighting continues near #Berestovoye, #Spornoye, #Verkhnekamenskoye, to the east and southeast of #Bakhmut, as well as in the northern #Belogorovka area, west of #Lysychansk.

➖ Reconnaissance and target acquisition of Ukrainian artillery in the #Kleshcheyevka - #Zaitsevo - #Opytnoye area was carried out by AFU UAV teams.

➖ The attempt to gain a foothold in the populated areas was repulsed and the units of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade were pushed back to their initial positions. At least eight people were killed and more than seven wounded.

➖ Due to heavy fighting and the advance of the Wagner fighters, the engineering teams of the 53rd Brigade urgently equipped three new fortifications near #Opytnoye.

▪️ The command of the Operation Task Group Soledar is also expecting an offensive by Russian forces on #Mayorsk. Mobilised troops have been moved to the northeastern outskirts of #Toretsk to hold defensive lines.

🩸 Russian troops completed their withdrawal to the left bank of the #Dnipro River in #Kherson Oblast. After the last units of the Russian Armed Forces crossed the river, they bombed the Antonovsky Bridge in #Kherson and the Kakhovskaya HPP Bridge near Novaya #Kakhovka.

#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, the command of the 14th AFU Mechanized Brigade has established observation posts west of #Kislovka. The enemy is using drones to identify Russian artillery fire positions.

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, assault troops of the 92nd AFU Mechanized Brigade undertook another offensive against the Russian strongholds in #Kuzemovka. Russian artillery scattered the enemy grouping and forced the militants to retreat to their initial positions.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, units of the 25th AFU Airborne Brigade have made several unsuccessful attempts to gain a foothold in the area west of #Chervonopopovka. The Brigade has suffered major personnel losses in recent weeks, but the Ukrainian command has repeatedly sent the fighters into the attack.

#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Bakhmut area, assault groups of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery, attempted a counterattack in the #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka areas. The Russian forces repulsed the attack and pushed the enemy back to its initial positions with return fire.

▪️ During the offensive against #Mayorsk, Russian forces took control over the eponymous railway station, an industrial zone and part of the development area. The AFU took defensive positions in the remaining area of the micro district.

#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ Fighters of the Separate Reconnaissance Battalion Sparta and 1st Slavyansk Brigade, supported by the 238th Artillery Brigade, liberated the village of #Opytnoye. The capture of the settlement has moved the frontline several kilometres away from #Donetsk and allows the offensive on #Avdeevka to continue from the southwest.

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled the #Donetsk agglomeration again. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in #Donetsk, #Gorlovka, #Yasynuvata, #Dokuchayevsk and other settlements came under fire.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ Russian missile artillery hit an AFU repair base in #Volnyansk.

▪️ In #Melitopol, Ukrainian saboteurs made an attempt on the deputy minister of culture, sport and tourism in the #Zaporozhye region by detonating a bomb outside his entrance. The official was lightly concussed.

▪️ A mass mailing is being sent across the region urging residents to hand over "collaborators" to the SBU. The Ukrainian security services are cracking down on anyone suspected of having contacts with the Russian Armed Forces or the Russian administration, most of them will be victims of false denunciations.

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled the suburb of Novaya Kakhovka with HIMARS MLRS, damaging residential buildings. Some of the shells were intercepted by air defence. Russian artillery struck enemy firing positions and hit enemy concentrations on the right bank of the #Dnipro River.

▪️ A battalion of the 24th Mechanized AFU Brigade has arrived in the #Pokrovsk area to replace the 93rd Mechanized Brigade in the #Soledar direction. The personnel of the 24th Mechanized Brigade are undergoing combat training and will be transferred to #Soledar on 15 November.

🩸 Russian forces have taken control of the village of #Mayorsk near #Gorlovka. Ukrainian formations abandoned their positions under pressure from the Russian forces and heavy artillery fire.

#Lysychansk Sector:

▪️ Assault units of the Wagner PMC, supported by the 14th and 16th Territorial Defence Battalions of the LPR People's Militia, broke through the AFU defences in #Belogorovka and entered the village.

Heavy fighting is currently taking place and the surrounding area is being cleared. The AFU's 54th Mechanized Brigade and 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade had not expected an attack, and some units withdrew to reserve positions awaiting reinforcements.

▪️ South of #Opytnoye, the "musicians" defeated the assault troops of the 53rd AFU Mechanized Brigade, whereupon the personnel withdrew to #Kleshchievka.

▪️ Radio intercepts confirm the death of the 53rd Brigade's commander and combatant. Russian troops destroyed the officers during the rounding of positions.

▪️ Some members of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade refused to defend #Bakhmut and some deserted. Counterintelligence officers arrived in the town to restore discipline.

▪️ In #Konstantinovka, mobilized troops are being rapidly trained to be sent to #Bakhmut to compensate the AFU losses. The Ukrainian command plans to form a combined group of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade and 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade in the near future.

#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️ Wagner PMC troops are actively conducting an offensive on the southeastern outskirts of #Opytnoye and near #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk).

▪️ The enemy in #Bakhmut tried to attack Russian positions in the city, but the attack was repulsed. In the city itself, Ukrainian fighters set up fortifications and firing positions in residential areas.

Tankers from the 57th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade work on enemy strongholds near #Bakhmut. Despite the loud gas turbine engine, the T-80 rolls out almost silently. Working in twos, they fire an almost full conveyor belt (28 rounds in total). The commander covers from an NSVT 12.7mm machine gun.

Russian barrel and rocket artillery continues to be active in the Kherson direction. Arrivals in the regional centre. Strikes on AFU positions in #Belozerka, #Antonovka, #Nikolskoye, #Tokarevka, #Berislav and #Staroshvedskoye. That is, practically along the entire line of contact. For their part, the AFU shelled Novaya Kakhovka. They also launched missile attacks on #Chaplinka and #Skadovsk. The latter two named localities are now deep in the rear. (Figure 1)

On the #Donetsk front, everything is traditional. Russian troops do not abandon attempts to break through to #Konstantinovka, attacking near #Novomikhailovka. Street fighting continues in #Maryinka. The AFU is not going to give up its stronghold on the dominant heights above #Donetsk. Russian troops resumed assault actions near #Pervomayskoye. Their artillery was working tightly on the #Avdeyevka stronghold. (Fig. 2)

On the southern outskirts of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMCs attacked from the direction of #Opytnoye. Not to be confused with the locality of the same name near #Donetsk! There is also fierce fighting on the southeastern outskirts of the city. Near #Soledar, the Wagner PMC again storms #Bakhmutskoye and #Yakovlevka. (Fig. 3)

On the #Lugansk direction, Russian troops attempted a counterattack near #Dibrov and near #Stelmakhovka. Their artillery hit AFU positions in #Zarechnoye and #Makeyevka. (Fig. 4)

Almost immediately after the RF Armed Forces withdrew to the left bank of the Dnipro River and abandoned #Kherson, Ukrainian formations focused their efforts on conducting reconnaissance and assessing the state of defence on the Crimean peninsula.

♦️ What are we talking about?

▪️ Almost daily from early November to the second decade of December, commercial UAVs (such as the Mugin-5), "artificially" equipped with grenades, flew from the #Odessa region in the direction of #Crimea and #Sevastopol.

The reason for choosing these drones is obvious: they are cheap, accessible and can fly at predetermined coordinates at relatively low altitudes.

▪️ In addition, the Ukrainian command has adapted conventional aerostats to monitor Russian military activity on the peninsula by equipping them with cameras.

The main advantage of these devices is their low price as compared with any other drones. The main disadvantage is their dependence on weather conditions - a blimp can be launched only when there is a strong tailwind.

▪️ There is another pattern.

On the days of aerial reconnaissance and attempted strikes against Russian targets south of #Crimea, there was always a strategic RQ-4B/D UAV in the air. The drone monitored the location and nature of Russian air defence assets.

▪️ And a few more days before such "probes", Western commercial and military space systems were surveying the ground and land, transmitting the most important coordinates for strikes to the AFU.

♦️What are the AFU's tactics?

➖ Over several days/weeks, one or more UAV/aerostat sorties are conducted to "probe" #Crimea's anti-aircraft system and incite panic. Alongside this, there is a massive furore on social media about the bombings and arrivals.

➖ Within a day or two, Ukrainian formations receive data from satellites on the targets and re-flash the drones.

➖ At night, close to midnight, several drones are flown in, whose task is to detect the response of anti-aircraft missile systems to targets.

➖ The second and third wave of drones, equipped with improvised projectiles to hit military and industrial targets, follow the identified coordinates towards morning.

♦️What is the Point?

The Ukrainian leadership has made no secret of their intentions to seize the Crimean peninsula. However, at the moment, all their statements are only meant to create panic and discord in the Russian society.

The AFU's efforts are now focused on more strategically important tasks, namely reaching #Svatovo and #Kremennaya, holding #Bakhmut and breaking through to the Sea of Azov in Zaporozhye region.

Regular attempts to attack the peninsula using aerial and maritime drones, a terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, sabotage and information campaigns are needed to inflame the situation and once again demonstrate the Russian army's inability to defend its territories.

Activity has decreased in recent days due to unfavourable weather conditions. In the near future, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will resume attempting strikes in #Crimea. A new batch of drones has been delivered to #Odessa and #Nikolaev regions, and at least one Bairaktar is operating along the Black Sea coastline.

Western intelligence continues to work off Russian shores, while military and commercial satellites actively monitor the highest-priority targets for strikes, which include the Crimean bridge, industrial facilities in #Feodosia and military bases in #Sevastopol.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚰️ AFU lost more than 250 officers in #Bakhmut in a Month due to NATO Tactics, Details⚡️

☠️ There has been an explosive increase in the deaths of junior and senior officers in AFU units deployed to #Bakhmut since late November.

♦️According to Military Chronicle, large losses among platoon and company commanders have been recorded in the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade, 60th Infantry, 46th Airmobile and 59th Motorized Infantry Brigades of the Ukrainian Army, which arrived in #Bakhmut to reinforce the defense and strengthen the front.

🔹These units are considered the most combat ready in the Ukrainian army. Officers and privates from these brigades were trained at the Yavoriv training ground and also trained in Germany as part of the JMTG-U mission before the start of the Special Military Operation. The training was conducted by officers from US Army and National Guard formations and instructors from a number of NATO countries.

🔹The US instructors taught the AFU long-range combat and how to operate in an assault formation in a city. In #Bakhmut, it is practically impossible to conduct attacks, 95% of the time it takes to organise defences. The Ukrainian army cannot offer its own tactical solutions, and as a result unit commanders make mistakes and send people to certain death.

🔹Due to a wrong assessment of the potential enemy, in less than a month the losses of officers in all units of the Ukrainian army in #Bakhmut exceeded 250 people. Because of tactical errors, units trained to NATO standards in Germany were repeatedly ambushed and tried to take cover in buildings previously sheltered by the 152 mm Giatcint-S and Msta-B guns.

🔹Another reason for the deaths from fleeing artillery fire in open terrain was the shortage of armoured vehicles. Most attempts to counterattack "banded" positions in the suburbs of #Bakhmut were conducted without the cover of tanks and APCs, and infantry units were transported to the battlefield mainly in pick-up trucks without armour.
