#Kupyansk Sector:

▪️ The AFU is restoring the combat capability of units of the 14th Mechanized Brigade after the failed offensive on #Yagodnoye. Rotations are being conducted in the compound's strongholds.

▪️ Fighters of the 14th Mechanized Brigade are spreading information about the disappearance of brigade commander Colonel Ohrimenko, after SBU officers accused him of causing mass casualties.

#Svatovo Section:

▪️ An Ukrainian SRG of the 71st Jager Brigade, which crossed the #Zherebets River the day before, is operating in the #Kolomiychikha - #Kuzemovka area.

▪️ UAVs of the 14th and 92nd Mechanized Brigades are actively reconnoitering Russian positions along the #Pervomayskoye - #Kovalevka line of contact. AFU artillery fires on identified targets.

▪️ The 233rd Battalion of the 128th AFU Territorial Defence Brigade is planned to be redeployed to the #Stelmakhovka area for personnel rotation. Engineering units of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade will equip more fortifications.

#Lyman Sector:

▪️ Assault groups of the 66th Mechanized AFU Brigade attacked the Russian positions in the direction of #Ploshchanka. Russian forces repulsed the assault.

▪️ To reinforce the forward lines, Russian forces deployed missile launchers and artillery ammunition from #Slavyansk to the #Nevskoye area.

▪️ Russian UAV operators detected the movement of an AFU supply convoy. At least one armoured fighting vehicle with ammunition for Ukrainian forces was hit by artillery fire.

▪️ The fighting has taken on a positional character. Sporadic fighting is taking place over the hills at the village of #Yagodnoye near #Ivanovka. Neither side is able to break through the enemy's orders.

#Svatovo Sector:

▪️ The enemy continues its attempts to reach the village of #Kuzemovka.

Judging by internal AFU reports, Ukrainian formations are reporting "heavy positional fighting" west of #Kuzemovka almost daily, with 200 metres of territory "captured" and "abandoned" at a time.

On the map this looks like a constantly changing frontline, although in fact it is a rather conventional control of the fields in the "grey zone".

▪️ An AFU assault group, reinforced by mobile groups of foreign mercenaries, attacked #Novoselovskoye from the direction of #Berestovoye. Taken under concentrated fire from Russian troops, the enemies was forced to retreat to their initial positions.

#Lyman Sector:

▪️ Assault groups of the 66th AFU Mechanized Brigade unsuccessfully attempted to attack the Russian positions in the direction of #Makeevka and #Chervonopopovka.

➖ Two companies of the enemy, supported by armoured vehicles, advanced stealthily from the #Zherebet River side to the #Svatovo - #Kremennaya route, but were ambushed. After suffering casualties, the Ukrainian units retreated to their original positions.

➖ A motorized infantry company, which had been detached by the AFU command to cover the retreat of the assault groups, came under targeted artillery fire and hastily withdrew to the river having lost a significant personnel.

▪️ The AFU forces tried to entrench themselves with up to a company under the cover of light armoured vehicles in the forest belt towards #Ploshchanka. A counterattack by fighters of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Army dispersed the enemies and put them on the rout.

▪️ Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups regularly cross the Seversky Donets River near #Serebryanka and conduct reconnaissance battle near #Dibrova.

In recent days, unreliable information has appeared about the situation in the #Bakhmut direction. Therefore, I have contacted the guys on the ground and am reporting to you the true situation as of 8 November 2022:

▪️ Wagner PMC units have eliminated one of the two strongholds on the #Nikolaevka 2 - Gorlovka road section and advanced towards #Kurdyumovka;

▪️ Musicians also eliminated four AFU strongholds west of #Otradovka, advancing significantly towards #Andreevka and #Kleshcheevka;

▪️ The #Soledar suburb of #Bakhmutskoye was completely cleared; the Wagnerians joined their right flank with units of the 6th Cossack Regiment of the LPR People's Militia at the KNAUF-Gypsum factory;

▪️ The storming of #Belogorovka continues. Wagner PMC units expanded their control zone in the village to the north of the road. In #Belogorovka itself, AFU units have established a major stronghold - the advance is complicated by heavy mine contamination, private buildings with long-term firing points and dugouts connected by communication passages.

▪️ Fighting continues near #Berestovoye, #Spornoye, #Verkhnekamenskoye, to the east and southeast of #Bakhmut, as well as in the northern #Belogorovka area, west of #Lysychansk.

🩸 Late in the afternoon, information emerged that the village of #Pavlovka had come fully under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. According to other sources, the AFU withdrew from the settlement but retained control of the northern approaches to the village.

The Russian Armed Forces first liberated the settlement back in the spring. In June, Ukrainian formations recaptured the village and in late October Russian forces launched a counteroffensive against the lost positions.

▪️ Fighting for #Pavlovka lasted several weeks, with units of the Pacific Fleet Brigade and the DPR OBTF suffered losses in personnel and equipment during the clashes.

▪️ However, Russian forces also managed to inflict heavy damage on the enemy, including the active use of Lancet and Kub loitering munitions, which disabled enemy artillery in the near rear and hit personnel in #Pavlovka itself.

▪️ There were no changes in the front line in other sections. There are skirmishes and exchanges of artillery fire near #Prechistovka and #Novomikhailovka, but no active offensive actions are being taken by the Russian Armed Forces.

▪️ In the #Bakhmut area, AFU assault groups of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery, tried a counterattack in the #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka areas.

➖ Reconnaissance and target acquisition of Ukrainian artillery in the #Kleshcheyevka - #Zaitsevo - #Opytnoye area was carried out by AFU UAV teams.

➖ The attempt to gain a foothold in the populated areas was repulsed and the units of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade were pushed back to their initial positions. At least eight people were killed and more than seven wounded.

➖ Due to heavy fighting and the advance of the Wagner fighters, the engineering teams of the 53rd Brigade urgently equipped three new fortifications near #Opytnoye.

▪️ The command of the Operation Task Group Soledar is also expecting an offensive by Russian forces on #Mayorsk. Mobilised troops have been moved to the northeastern outskirts of #Toretsk to hold defensive lines.

▪️ The Russian Aerospace Force has launched guided missile strikes on AFU strongholds in #Toretsk, #Alexandropol, #Bakhmut, #Soledar, #Yakovlevka and #Verkhnekamenskoye.

🩸 Soldiers from the Sparta Separate Reconnaissance Battalion and the 1st Slavyansk Brigade, supported by the 238th Artillery Brigade, liberated the village of #Opytnoye.

▪️ Russian forces launched an offensive on the settlement in the autumn after completely clearing all the long-term AFU positions near #Donetsk airport. Russian units slowly advanced slowly from the south, destroying and occupying enemy fortifications on the outskirts of #Opytnoye.

▪️ The settlement had long been destroyed and turned into a fortress. However, the position of the Ukrainian formations was considerably complicated by the occupation of the eastern part of neighbouring #Vodyanoye and the semi-encirclement of the settlement's garrison. Eventually, the AFU could not withstand the onslaught and withdrew from their positions.

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, assault troops of the 92nd AFU Mechanized Brigade undertook another offensive against the Russian strongholds in #Kuzemovka. Russian artillery scattered the enemy grouping and forced the militants to retreat to their initial positions.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, units of the 25th AFU Airborne Brigade have made several unsuccessful attempts to gain a foothold in the area west of #Chervonopopovka. The Brigade has suffered major personnel losses in recent weeks, but the Ukrainian command has repeatedly sent the fighters into the attack.

#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Bakhmut area, assault groups of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery, attempted a counterattack in the #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka areas. The Russian forces repulsed the attack and pushed the enemy back to its initial positions with return fire.

▪️ During the offensive against #Mayorsk, Russian forces took control over the eponymous railway station, an industrial zone and part of the development area. The AFU took defensive positions in the remaining area of the micro district.

#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ Fighters of the Separate Reconnaissance Battalion Sparta and 1st Slavyansk Brigade, supported by the 238th Artillery Brigade, liberated the village of #Opytnoye. The capture of the settlement has moved the frontline several kilometres away from #Donetsk and allows the offensive on #Avdeevka to continue from the southwest.

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled the #Donetsk agglomeration again. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in #Donetsk, #Gorlovka, #Yasynuvata, #Dokuchayevsk and other settlements came under fire.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

A flight also arrived in #Gorlovka, as a result of the hit to the Palace of Culture building there was a fire. The heaviest shelling occurred in Novaya Kakhovka, where authorities say one person died and three were wounded.

⚔️ Situation on the Fronts in the outgoing 24 Hours

⚫️ #Svatovo - #Kremennaya Direction:

The Russian army's actions thwarted attacks by four company tactical groups of the Ukrainian armed forces in the direction of #Svatovo, #Ploshchanka, #Makeyevka and #Chervonopopovka of the LPR. Artillery and aviation strikes destroyed six combat vehicles, one tank, five vehicles and 190 fighters.

The militants also launched an attack near #Vladimirovka and #Kuzemovka, but were repulsed by the Russian army.

⚫️ #Ugledar direction:

According to the Ministry of Defence, in the area of #Pavlovka, #Stepnoye and #Vladimirovka, units of foreign mercenaries unsuccessfully counterattacked in an attempt to halt the advance of the Russian army. As a result of our artillery and aviation efforts, the enemy suffered serious losses in personnel, and seven combat vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed.
