Node 2JWSS42 File System Failure. Recovering

The situation about Node 2JWSS42 (If you got the email of this new, that means you have (a) VM run on it.)

After working with the data center, due to the power upgrade earlier today ( 4kVA > 10kVA ).

When the data center maintenance team replaced the power fuse, the plug covered on the fuse replacement slot, the electrician removed the power socket of this Node. The first socket was not restored to the connected state when the second backup power was been replacing.

The file system was damaged because the server was performing daily automatic updates at that time. The GRUB cannot be repaired at present. We will migrate all VM to another vacant server node.

We have contacted the local operation and maintenance team of the data center to ensure data security and prevent serious data center operation error.

The data is not lost. However, it will take some time to migrate to the new node.

Fixed; Please check your VM.

The auto-generated plugin for SSH Key is online.
It’s both available for the new order and current user.

Please install qemu-guest-agent ASAP.
If your VM does not have this plugin, your VM will be unresponsive for a long time ( 3 - 15 minutes ) when you click ShutDown on the panel.

BTW, if your VM face to a kernel panic or other system is the completely locked situation. Please use “STOP” to shutdown VM at the first time.

Because if your VM cannot be shut down, clicking the shutdown button will also cause a long wait.

Shutdown: Safe shutdown by your VM’s System.

STOP: Force power off VM. ( If you click shutdown first, It will wait for the shutdown command to fail and time out before executing.)


Installation command:
CentOS/Fefora: yum install qemu-guest-agent
Ubuntu/Debian: apt-get install qemu-guest-agent

The SSH Key plug-in has been updated.

Now you can automatically generate Key and directly download formats supported by Putty and XShell.

1.3x traffic does not degrade with bill cycle modification and it follows VM. The terminated service does not support to be recovery.

B ) The Public Key and Private Key of DMIT VM management panel have been tested with 100 VMs for newly creating, rebuilding and modifying the public key. Currently, LINUX, PUTTY, XSHELL can be used directly and stable. When downloading the private key, it will zip the PEM, PPK private key and the PUB public key. Please allow the browser to download by default.

Dear all,
Please note that we plan to enable our new Cisco Core Router at 24 and/or 25 Feb 2019. There will be an outage during switching the network to the new router.

Our new IP Transit Upstream will be available at the same time.
