Please be advised that the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs will be hosting the Discover H2O Polo Programme for children aged 8 to 10 years. The programme will run from Monday 03 August to Friday 04 September 2026.

The weekly training schedule is as follows:

- D'Abadie/Malabar Community Swimming Pool: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1600 hrs – 1730 hrs.

The programme will conclude with a Showcase Event on Friday 04 September 2026, to be held at the National Aquatic Centre from 0900 hrs - 1200 hrs. During this event, participants from all programme locations will come together to demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the programme.

Accordingly, the Community Swimming Pools (CSP) will provide a lifeguard at each facility on every scheduled training day.

Due to the water issues at the facility, the Community Swimming Pool will be closed today at 3pm, therefore there will be no recreational swimming today sorry for the inconvenience.

Please be reminded that our Mentorship Sessions for participants 14–17 years will be held today at the following times:

Maloney: 2:00 p.m.
Malabar: 3:00 p.m.

We encourage all participants in this age group to make every effort to attend. These sessions are designed to inspire, guide and empower our young people with valuable life skills, positive values and meaningful mentorship.

Please be advised that *Sunday, 30th August 2026*, will be our final Maintenance Sunday. Effective *Wednesday, 2nd September 2026*, the regular maintenance schedule will resume, with maintenance being conducted every Wednesday thereafter.

Additionally, the pool will be *closed on *Friday, 4th September 2026 to Sunday 6th September 2026,* to facilitate extensive pool water quality treatment. This essential maintenance is being undertaken to ensure that the facility remains safe and that the highest water quality standards are maintained for all users.

Also, note that the pool will be *closed on Monday, 31st August 2026*, in observance of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago’s Independence Day public holiday.

Please review the updated pool schedule for the next two weeks, which is attached to this notice, and take note of the revised operating and maintenance dates.

Please be advised that the Community Swimming Pool will be closed on *Monday, 7th September 2026*, to facilitate ongoing maintenance and water treatment to ensure that the pool meets the required water quality and safety standards for public use.

The Learn to swim programme of September 2026 has vacant spaces for the following age groups: 5 to 6 Water Familiarisation Saturday's, 7 to 9 Intermediate Saturday's, 7 to 9 Beginners Sunday's and
the 14 to 17 Beginners on Sunday's.
Those who were previously Assessed can check the administrative staff and confirm if they want to continue with the upward movement and confirm their class.
