الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، وبعد، فــ ..
* مريض السكري تتعلق به عبودية عظيمة، وهي عبودية الاجتهاد في إرضاء الله في الصوم أو الفطر، فإن الله جل وعلا يحب الصوم ممن لا يُخشى الضرر المعتبر بصومه، والصوم حينئذٍ واجب، وكذلك فإن الله سبحانه يحب الفطر ممن يُظَن - وليس يُتوهَّم - أن الصوم يمرضه ويضره ضررًا معتبرًا (أي ليس مجرد ضرر المشقة العارضة التي يجدها أوساط الناس وتذهب مع العودة للطعام والشراب)، والصوم حينئذ ليس من البر، وأقل أحواله الكراهة!
* مرض السكري ليس على درجة واحدة، وتأثير الصيام فيه ليس على درجة واحدة كذلك، بل يختلف باختلاف درجة المرض، وصفة المريض، وعدد ساعات الصوم، وحالة الطقس وقت الصوم، ومدى توفُّر وسائل الراحة، وهكذا!
