@ITestTwit1 Lightning can be faster, in principle, but at 1-2s finality ckBTC is amply fast. Easier to go BTC --> ckBTC twin and back. Lightning involves locking and other complexities. ckBTC can be used with smart contracts. Both systems are trustless and great in their own different ways

@sowmaler A lot needs to be worked out, but would say that the ckBTC + Lightning extension should collateralize its own channel (e.g. the NNS could buy BTC from a DEX, or something...). So transparent for ckBTC out, but going in would require sending wallet to lock some liquidity.
