#ICP Stats FactsπŸ“ˆ In 49 days, 16.45 #ckBTC has been transacted across 4323 unique receiving addresses🀩 The Chain Key #Bitcoin revolution is just getting startedβ™Ύ https://t.co/B1M6lzb50L
Code a canister smart contract that maintains a file tree in memory, that: 1. Provides a UX that syncs the tree with a local folder; 2. Enables users to browse the decentralized files, and 3. Is a web server for html/website file trees πŸ‘‡

In 3 weeks, we will divide the bounty amongst the winner and runners up. We may combine different entries to make a final sample dapp. We may increase the bounty for brilliance! Post entries in this thread Code in Motoko, Rust, or whatever... Happy coding ⌨️ and glπŸ€

RT @kylelangham: 1/πŸ”” Call for discussion: @DFINITY is looking into aligning the #ICP circulating supply (CS) to more accurately match the practices of ICP’s peers and simplify the CS definition used. The problem: there’s no industry alignment. Here are a few examples from key crypto leaders πŸ‘‡

Yes, We Need #Bitcoin For #DeFi Without Bridges, an op-ed by @dominic_w Smart contracts on #ICP can now hold, send and receive #BTC natively at the protocol level without the need for bridges or trusted third parties πŸ“–Read on @beincrypto https://t.co/uIZFMy8Kie
@stefan__019 @BasedGiant_ @JanCamenisch Ditto. Reason: NNS can process ckBTC better as its moves at Internet Computer speed You can create Internet Computer wallets and services that hold bitcoin directly as per AstroX me+ wallet But transfers are obviously then subject to 3-4 Bitcoin confirmations ~40 minutes delay

Crazy that the Internet Computer | #ICP is currently processing more than 20 BILLION Ethereum | #ETH equivalent transactions a day right now (240k Tx/s) πŸ”₯ Website update puts that stat up top! https://t.co/w7STT4RycQ

https://twitter.com/dominic_w
@valuemakerx It didn't. It was using update call TX to produce the html, including the data snippets inserted into the pages. So was doing a few hundred TX/s, which maxes out an individual smart contract (since one smart contract can't access the entire blockchain's throughput capacity)

https://twitter.com/dominic_w
@mike_artwork Smart contract transactions. Simplest case would b updating a ledger, but on Internet Computer, could be updating a social network news feed... Comparing EVM to WASM instruction count, #ICP TXs exec ~80X more instructions/usage heavier. So, 5,000 Tx/s equiv. 200,000 Eth Tx/s
