π Introducing Dataset.ET
The future of AI should speak Ethiopian languages.
Today we are launching Dataset.ET β an open community initiative to build the largest dataset for Ethiopian languages.
Why this matters:
Most AI systems today barely understand Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and many other Ethiopian languages. Without datasets, AI will ignore our languages.
Dataset.ET is changing that.
What we are building:
β’ Speech datasets
β’ Text datasets
β’ Community-validated language corpora
β’ Open infrastructure for Ethiopian AI
How you can help:
1οΈβ£ Record sentences using our Telegram bot
2οΈβ£ Validate recordings from other contributors
3οΈβ£ Help expand datasets for Ethiopian languages
No technical skills needed β just your voice and your language.

So⦠they had this movement to stop affirmative action for women.
I mean, womenβs lives differ, in my opinion.
Some girls might not face much cultural or societal pressure, unlike women in other areas who carry a lot of responsibilities... taking care of family, managing work, and more. Men also work and learn, but the pressure on women is often greater.
Women in Addis Ababa might not face the same pressures as those in regional areas. This affirmative action helps women access education and opportunities. They are capable, yes, but this support can make a real difference for some.
This isnβt saying women are weak or wtvr. Itβs just a form of support, a way to acknowledge and compensate for past inequalities they have faced.
I would love to hear your thoughts if I misunderstood their movement
