Over the past few days, egyankosh links were not working

Right now, they seem to be working fine. If you need any document from there, you can download them now
For candidates enrolled in the Test Series with us, please revisit the solution to the following questions.

FLT -1 : Q18, Q53

FLT -2 : Q12

FLT-3 : Q1

This video is primarily for candidates who will be appearing in their first IBPS Exam now; but even the others might gain something.

One more point : In the break between the 2 papers, please sit calmly somewhere and revise the ‘fodder’ you have prepared for Essays. Please do not bother to discuss the answers of Economics paper during this break.
FLT-1 : Q18

Please read Update-2 in the solutions panel
Less than 24 hours to go for the Exam. It is natural to have butterflies in the stomach.

Perhaps, some inhibitions also : Vo topic reh gaya, vo formula yaad nahi aa raha, pata nahi paper kaise aiga, etc. This is natural.

I assure you that if you can execute well with your existing knowledge, you will be in a good position after the exam.

The key will be to stay calm & focused during the exam.

We have a limited number of serious aspirants who have read the same topics, from the same sources and practiced similar type of questions and now have to attempt the same exam. Whether the exam is difficult or easy : it will be the same for everyone. Whether the Essay topic is anticipated or unanticipated, people will have to use common sense to form a good structure and think of points to prepare the paragraph.

We have to attempt the exam intelligently, tomorrow.

Remember, no matter what happens, stay confident. The whole recruitment cycle will test you on many aspects. And even if you falter slightly somewhere, you will have scope to cover up.

For example, someone might score 5-8 marks lower in Essay, but she might score well in Economics paper. Or in Phase-2, where only core Economics will be tested.

Similarly, if you feel you faltered on 2-3 questions in Economics paper, do not let that affect your next paper, the English paper.

Also, remember not to get stuck on any question. Last year, a candidate spent 70 minutes on Essay and hence, could not attempt Reading Comprehension properly. Please avoid such blunders.

Keep a track of time.

I wish you all the best for tomorrow's exam. Trust yourself. Trust your God.

Lie down on time tonight. Keep your mind calm.

God bless you.

One question to anyone enrolled in the full course / Indian Economy course :

Consider the following topics :

NABARD'S RIDF, MSME Definition, Mahalanobis Model, Green Revolution details, Purchasing Managers Index, Carbon emission india's rank & data point, National MDPI weights, Trend in savings rate, financial savings rate, trend in out of pocket expenditure on health, demographic transition theory, FPO (closely related to small farmer, large field) and maybe a few more.

Question. : When these topics were covered in the Indian Economy portion, what was your reaction :

a) Thinking 'Ye out-of-syllabus topics kyu cover kiye ja Rahe hain'

b) Drop a message to Testonomocs telling us these topics are irrelevant for RBI DEPR Exam and should not be covered

c) I covered these topics from videos, but did not revise, maybe because I did not make notes; thinking ye sab nahi aiga exam me

d) I thoroughly prepared these topics, thinking 'exam me aaya toh theek, Varna koi nahi. Kuch zyada padhna nuksaan nahi karega. Lekin Agar yahan se koi ek question bhi aa gaya, toh it will hurt a lot'

No need to reply to this question. It is only for your analysis. 😊

PS: Not claiming that a detailed discussion was carried out on all these topics. For some topics, the discussion had been detailed. For others, the concerned fact may have been mentioned tangentially. But honestly, I believe it was enough to answer the question asked
From June 2017 onwards, I have appeared for almost all exams where eligibility criteria was MA Economics and exam pattern was based on core Economics.

I consider this to be like 'repeated game', wherein I try to understand examiner's pattern and guess the next move.

Trust me, we work very hard to prepare the content. I Work with this thought process : "If I had to prepare for this exam, how would I do it. What all topics would have I prepared".

And the same topics, I try to cover in the all our courses / Test Series

That's why, we always tell you : If you enrolled with us, cover our content first. After that, if you have time left, you can cover anything else you find useful

During the last 3 Years, there has always been one portion from the content which has helped candidates get an edge. This year, it will be Indian Economy

If even a single candidate could benefit from it, we will be happy😊😊
Also, remember what I had told you in our video meeting: IBPS examiner cannot be taken seriously, as far as sticking to the prescribed syllabus is concerned.

If they can ask pre-indepence question under 'RECENT' developments, they could even ask something from ancient history !

Anyways, that's not in our hands. But remember the learnings from here 😊
Regarding your score and cut-off, remember that if there was any question which your competitor didn't attempt correctly, that question wouldn't harm your edge.

Overall, I feel anything above 70 in Paper-1 will be a good score for a candidate from UR category.
And if you feel there was any question which was wrong / incorrectly displayed on screen, send an email to IBPS / RBI

If you don't inform, they won't take any action

If you inform, then it's their call whether to act on it or not.

In 2021, many people had sent complain email. Only then, they had dropped the problematic questions. If my memory serves me right, I think they had raised grievance on ibps portal

There were issues in 2022 and 2023 papers as well. But no one in my knowledge had sent any email to the concerned authorities
If you expect to clear Phase-1, please begin Phase-2 preparation from tomorrow itself.

Last year, it took around 15 days for phase-1 result to be released. If you wait that long, you will end up losing precious days.

You can have a look at marks of selected candidates last year and you will realise that Dispersion was high.

Begin the work and look to score well in Phase-2
Take a short break and plan your attempt for 2025.

1. Decide which exam you want to target for next year : (i) RBI DEPR (ii) IES (iii) Both (they have a lot in common)

2. Whichever the target, begin work towards it. And decide your approach to it.

3. Whether you decide to prepare by yourself or under someone's mentorship, that's your call. I don't want to push you towards any of these choices, so you have to take your own call.

4. In case you decide to take mentorship, begin now only. It will take time for you to be ready. You will first understand the course content, then do a few rounds of revision and then, innovate a little and cover a few topics on your own.

5. Those of you who are still pursuing Master's degree, you should begin preparation in the last year of your Master's itself (unless you are at DSE / ISI). Trust me, you will thank yourself later.
For Candidates enrolled with us for 2025 Attempt

Please refer to point 4 above

Please keep covering the topics and aim to complete the entire syllabus (first round) by December end.

We will then discuss how to prepare for IES 2025 and RBI DEPR 2025 with this base.

We will meet online for the first video meeting in November. Till then, please keep covering the content sincerely
It's difficult to answer queries of so many people regarding phase-2 over a one-to-one message or phone call.

Let's meet (virtually) next Sunday (22 Sep 2024). Like previous meetings, you Will receive the link by Saturday night.

Till then, please try to cover up the phase-2 syllabus.
