In My Opinion,
Even if it's 2023 type paper, you should never ever attempt less than 97 Questions.
Because, in Prelims no matter how unpredictable they design a new pattern each year, one thing had been constantly unchanged- The examiner Mindset.
So if you are thorough with decoding PYQs , you should always attempt maximum possible questions to offset random variables.

This one simple exercise that helped me crack IIT-JEE with a good rank & UPSC Prelims multiple times— comfortably .
In the last 10 days, I'd attempt full-length PYQs under real exam conditions:
9–11 AM & 2–4 PM.
No fan. No AC. No distractions.
Same pen. Same food. Even the Same dress & Same slippers.
I also reset my sleep cycle to wake up before 6 AM—to be calm, fresh, focused during exam hours.
Because IN THE END, IT’S NOT THE KNOWLEDGE—IT’S MINDSET that clears the exam.
