✨ Always try word association in such weird unknown facts. The examiner always gives a hint.

That's why, please do look at the hindi version whenever u are stuck and unable to find the answer. Sometimes THE RIGHT ANSWER πŸ’‘ might just Pop Up :)

πŸ€ In matching type questions generally  1 & 2 are not correctly matched together.

✨ Similarly,1&2 don't come together in chronology questions

πŸ€ CSAT Hack

(Use it only when you practice this hack on any of the last 10 years CSAT paper before the actual exam and be sure of it )

πŸ’₯ Attempt all the comprehensions questions like GS questions (ie. Attempt the question directly without even reading comprehension)

πŸ”₯ Eliminate negative tone statements, you should reach the correct option. But if you get more than one positive tone statement , then read the whole comprehension or just leave it. (You will get minimum 15 out of 28 net questions correct by this method and would be able to secure minm 35+ marks in just 30 mins ⚑️)

🀝Now you have 90 minutes left to cherry pick easy Quant and reasoning questions. You can very easily get 25 questions correct out of 52 questions in that much time. And cross the 80-90 marks line very safely ✨

✌️Very soon I will start posting solved CSE 2023 questions using last year's DECODES.

✍ Till then, practice on your own by applying these hacks and observations on PYQs of the last 10 years.

Priority Wise to do list before prelims :-

1) Polity, economy, environment- geography core conceptual clarity for the topics which are in the last 1 year news.

2) world IR places and Indian historical, geographical places+rivers+personalities+ tech terms, etc in the last 2 year news.

3) PYQs 2013-2023 GS
2018-2023 CSAT
2021-2023 CDS/GEOSCIENTIST/CAPF/ IES relevant GS questions

4) MOST important -: Practice and understand all the DECODES by heart ❀

One mathematically proven way of increasing your probability in clearing CSAT:

βœ…In CSAT, do attempt the number of questions in multiples of 4.

🎯For eg, if you have attempted 29 questions, just attempt 3 more. Even if they are wrong, it won't affect your score at all.

✍️Bcz you need only 28 correct both in case of 29 and 32 🐢

CSE 23 set A Q2

✍Statement 2 and 3 similar sounding. Using DECODE 6 to reach option A Or B. ( bcz minm one correct max two)
✍Now between A Or B choose B as I discussed last year in DECODE 5 βœ…

CSE 23 set A Q3

✍ Most of us know Mahua is North indian deciduous tree. Hence eliminate option D.
Now choose option B as discussed in DECODE 5 to reach at correct option βœ…

CSE 23 set A Q5

If you knew this answer in the exam time, good for you. But if NOT..

✍ Use DECODE 8 to choose between the option C or D. Now notice that using the word association DECODE 19 marshLAND would be more relatable with RANN of kutch.
πŸ‘‰Also in option B some salt pans are mentioned.. That also is similar ( DECODE 6) to the rann of kutch.
✨Hence the correct option to choose would be D βœ…

Share these DECODES with fellow aspirants who are fearful with the new pattern and think that no observation or logics would work in the changed pattern.

CSE 23 set A Q6

πŸ‘‰First logical method - we all have studied about option A ,B and C and never ever heard of Ilmenite and rutile. Hence option D would be best choice.

πŸ‘‰Second method - Option A and D are similar sounding ( DECODE 6) , So either A or D
And as it's again a geography question hence use DECODE 8 to choose between C or D.
✨So common of both would be D βœ…

CSE 23 set A Q7

πŸ‘‰ Same decode 8 to choose between C or D, now C is more preferred option here because Africa is full of various mineral resources, rather than Kazakhstan.
πŸ‘‰Also option B give hints that it's about some African country.

✨✨NOTE- UPSC sometimes gives answer of one question as a keyword in next question. Question no 8 also does mention about congo*

CSE 23 set A Q11

πŸ‘‰ statement one is very generic, mark it correct βœ… DECODE 1
πŸ‘‰statement two gives a numerical number, that is very assertive and definite. Mark it wrong. DECODE 2

@DECODINGUPSC
❀4πŸ‘1
CSE 23 Set A Q12

πŸ‘‰ Although first statement is PYQ, we should know this fact. But if still we have no idea, mark it neutral for a while and proceed further.
πŸ‘‰ second statement is clearly very extreme and assertive. Hence wrong❌
For ex, even if one marsupial is found tomorrow away from grassland , this statement would be wrong.
πŸ‘‰UPSC plays very safe. Like I said in DECODE 3
You will easily reach your answer without even knowledge of the first statement.

@DECODINGUPSC
πŸ‘6
CSE 23 set A Q13

πŸ‘‰ As per DECODE 7 it comes under category 1. That is, pure fact based. Hence A Or B should be chosen if we have no knowledge of the fact.
πŸ‘‰ Now between A n B, species** is more relatable to IUCN that UNEP
