השב"כ הגיש הערב תלונה לצנזור הצבאי הראשי בדרישה למצות את הדין עם ערוץ 12 בעקבות עבירת צנזורה חמורה.

השב"כ:

פרסום הביקור בשלב בו הוא פורסם גרם לסיכון לביטחונו של ראש הממשלה, למבצע ולכוחות בשטח. בנוסף, פרסום הביקור והאופן בו התקיים חשף שיטות פעולה של השירות, באופן המעמיד בפני עצמו את המבצעים העתידיים בסיכון גבוה יותר.

הפרסום סיכן את חייהם של ראש הממשלה ורעייתו והפמליה שכללה את ראש המוסד, ראש המל"ל, האלוף גיא מרקיזנו המזכיר הצבאי, ראש אגף האבטחה בשב"כ, צוות האוויר וצוות האבטחה.

חוות הדעת של המוסד ביחס לחומרת הפגיעה של הפרסום בערוץ 12:

הדלפה זו היוותה איום ביטחוני חמור לביטחון ראש הממשלה והמשלחת... מבקשים להרים דגל ולסמן אירוע הפרסום כאירוע חמור המהווה נזק לביטחון מדינת ישראל

מההודעה הרשמית הארוכה:

שב"כ קבע שחדשות 12 סיכנו את חייהם של רה"מ, רעייתו, ראש המוסד, ראש המל"ל, המזכיר הצבאי, שורה של בכירים אחרים וצוות האבטחה.
התלונה מתמקדת בכך שפרסום הטיסה התבצע בשעה 21:38 כשהמטוס היה רחוק מגבולות הארץ (הוא נחת בארץ כשעה לאחר מכן בשעה 22:27).

עוד קבע שב"כ כי חדשות 12 שיקרו כאשר טענו שפרסמו את דבר ביקורו של רה"מ באמירויות לאחר נחיתת מטוסו בישראל - במציאות, המטוס היה במרחב האווירי של מדינה ערבית בזמן אמת, כשערוץ 12 חשף זאת.

הפרסום בחדשות 12 על טיסת נתניהו לאמירויות, התרחש בזמן שמטוס המנהלים היה בשמי סעודיה, כך עולה מבדיקת נתיב הטיסה בזמן אמת.

מספר עיתונאים פנו אתמול לצנזורה כדי לאשר את הפרסום על הביקור של נתניהו באיחוד האמירויות.

The Prime Minister’s Office:

The Shin Bet filed a complaint this evening with the Chief Military Censor, demanding that Channel 12 be held accountable for a serious censorship violation.

The Shin Bet:

Publishing the visit when it did endangered the security of the prime minister, the operation, and the forces on the ground. Furthermore, the publication of the visit and the manner in which it was conducted exposed the agency’s operational methods, thereby placing future operations at greater risk.
The report endangered the lives of the prime minister and his wife, as well as the delegation, which included the Mossad director, the head of the National Security Council, Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Guy Marziano, the head of the Shin Bet’s Security Division, the flight crew, and the security detail.

The Mossad’s assessment regarding the severity of the damage caused by Channel 12’s report:

This leak constituted a serious security threat to the safety of the prime minister and the delegation. We ask that a red flag be raised and that this publication be classified as a serious incident that caused harm to the security of the State of Israel.

From the official statement:

The Shin Bet determined that Channel 12 endangered the lives of the prime minister, his wife, the Mossad director, the head of the National Security Council, the military secretary, several other senior officials, and the security detail.
The complaint focuses on the fact that the flight was reported at 9:38 p.m., while the aircraft was still far from Israel’s borders. It landed in Israel nearly an hour later, at 10:27 p.m.
The Shin Bet further stated that Channel 12 falsely claimed it had reported the prime minister’s visit to the UAE only after his aircraft had landed in Israel. In reality, the plane was still flying through the airspace of an Arab country when Channel 12 disclosed the visit.

An examination of the aircraft’s real-time flight path indicates that Channel 12 reported Netanyahu’s flight to the UAE while the executive jet was still flying over Saudi Arabia.

The Military Censor almost never authorizes reports about official flights while they are still airborne.

Several journalists approached the censor yesterday to request permission to report Netanyahu’s visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The response they received: Rejected.

Channel 12 decided to act on its own and published the report approximately one hour before Netanyahu returned to Israel.

Earlier today (Monday), IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon identified two suspects who entered the Security Zone and approached the soldiers.

Following the identification, the soldiers opened fire toward the suspects, the suspects were neutralized. No IDF injuries were reported, the incident is under review.

It turns out that several #OSINT👀 communities on Facebook—those whose members enjoy photographing aircraft—are managed by Pakistani nationals based in Iran and the United Kingdom.

Moreover, some of these individuals had no previous connection to aircraft spotting.
Israeli researcher Babak Taghvaee noted that such communities could be used by Iranian or Russian intelligence agencies to monitor the activity of U.S. military aircraft.
The problem is not limited to the United Kingdom. Similar “aviation enthusiast” groups exist in the United States and other countries and are allegedly managed by Chinese intelligence officers.
