החלק המעניין הוא שהמיקום אכן תואם את מסדרון ה-East–West Pipeline / Petroline באזור מדינה. גם המפה הרשמית ההיסטורית של Saudi Aramco מציגה את מערכת הצינורות החוצה את הממלכה מזרחה–מערבה דרך אזור מדינה לכיוון Yanbu.

The Petroline (East–West Pipeline) transports crude oil from eastern Saudi Arabia to Yanbu on the Red Sea coast, allowing Saudi oil exports to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
Its nominal pumping capacity is approximately 7 million barrels per day.
