החות'ים השתלטו גם על האי זוקאר בדרום ים סוף, בין חודידה למוח'א, לאחר מתקפות רקטות והסתערות קרקעית שבוצעה באמצעות סירות שהובילו לוחמים

האי שוכן ממש בין תימן לג'יבוטי בחלק הצר ביותר של המיצר. באי נמצא בסיס אווירי של האמירויות (לא מבצעי) ויש בו דיווחים זרים על נוכחות ישראלית.

If they succeed, it will probably become the second terrorist state in the Middle East (after Syria).

Houthi forces have landed on Mayun Island (Perim Island), known as the ‘Pearl of Bab Al-Mandab’

It sits right between Yemen and Djibouti on the narrowest part of the Strait. The Island houses an Emirati airbase (non-operational) and was rumored to have an Israeli presence.
