French "Palestinian" leftist MEP Rima Hassan, a prominent figure in the Hamas-affiliated Gaza flotilla campaign and one of Europe's most outspoken anti-Israel activists, traveled to Lebanon this month as part of a delegation from the French party La France Insoumise (LFI), where she called for increased international pressure and sanctions against Israel, while showing support for the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

Hassan, who was born in Syria and whose father served as a mechanic in the Syrian Air Force during the Assad era, has faced repeated criticism over her silence on issues regarding the Assad regime while remaining one of Europe's most vocal anti-Israel activists.

During her visit to Lebanon, she surprisingly chose to stay in a luxury hotel in Achrafieh, one of Lebanon's staunchly anti "palestinian" Christian districts, and she avoided staying in Hezbollah-controlled or Islamist-friendly areas.
