ישראל מחזקת את ההגנה האווירית שלה באזור אילת על רקע חששות גוברים מפני תקיפות ארוכות טווח אפשריות מצד #חותים🇾🇪 מתימן (אנצאראללה) ככל שהסכסוך באזור מתרחב.

ההתעצמות הצבאית כוללת פריסת סוללות כיפת ברזל נוספות ונכסים ימיים בים סוף, המשקפים הערכות מודיעיניות לפיהן אנצאראללה - שאותה לאחרונה על נכונות להצטרף למלחמה לצד חיזבאללה - עשויה לנסות לתקוף עמוק בשטח ישראל.

המהלך מגיע בעקבות דיווחים על תיאום מתמשך בין אנצאראללה, חיזבאללה וקבוצות אחרות הנתמכות על ידי איראן, כאשר גורמים תימנים נשבעים כי חיזבאללה לא יעמוד לבדו נגד ישראל. מערכת הביטחון הישראלית מתייחסת לאיום ברצינות למרות המרחק הגיאוגרפי.

Israel is strengthening its air defenses in the Eilat area amid growing concerns over potential long-range attacks from Yemen's #Houthis🇾🇪 (Ansarallah) as the conflict in the region widens.

The military buildup includes the deployment of additional Iron Dome batteries and naval assets in the Red Sea, reflecting intelligence assessments that Ansarallah — which recently signaled readiness to join the war alongside Hezbollah — may attempt to strike deep into Israeli territory.

The move follows reports of ongoing coordination between Ansarallah, Hezbollah, and other Iran-backed groups, with Yemeni officials vowing that Hezbollah will not stand alone against Israel. Israel's defense establishment is taking the threat seriously despite the geographic distance.

Iran is preparing for a 3-day funeral for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated by Israel and whose body has been lying in a refrigerator for over 3 months.

The date has not yet been announced, but the funeral procession will begin in Tehran, continue to the city of Qom and end in the city of Mashhad until burial in the tomb of Imam Reza, according to Khamenei's will.

Iran is preparing for the participation of about 20 million people who will arrive in the three cities during the funeral.

The Iranian government has begun coordinating the arrival of Shiites from Muslim countries for the funeral procession.

טייס ה-F-15E שהופל מעל איראן ב-3 באפריל היה גם על אחד משלושה מטוסי F-15E שהופלו בטעות על ידי F/A-18 Hornet כוויתי בתקרית אש ידידותית פחות מחמישה שבועות קודם לכן.

הוא הטייס הראשון מאז מלחמת וייטנאם שהופל פעמיים באותו סכסוך.

The pilot of the F-15E Strike Eagle shot down over Iran on April 3 was also aboard one of three F-15Es that were accidentally downed by a Kuwaiti F/A-18 Hornet in a friendly-fire incident less than five weeks earlier.

He is the first pilot since the Vietnam War to be shot down twice in the same conflict
