The Iranian news agency Fars publishes details regarding the U.S. response to Iranโ€™s latest proposal:

According to reports obtained by Fars concerning the American response to the Iranian proposals, Washington presented five main conditions:

โ€ข The United States will not pay any compensation or reparations for damages.
โ€ข 400 kg of uranium will be removed from Iran and transferred to the United States.
โ€ข Only one Iranian nuclear facility will remain operational inside Iran.
โ€ข Not even 25% of Iranโ€™s frozen assets will be returned.
โ€ข Fighting on all fronts must cease as a condition for holding negotiations.


Meanwhile, Iran clarified that any negotiations are conditional upon the implementation of five preliminary demands:

โ€ข An end to the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon.
โ€ข The removal of sanctions against Iran.
โ€ข The release of Iranโ€™s frozen funds.
โ€ข Compensation for damages caused by the war.
โ€ข Recognition of Iranโ€™s sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz.
