לפי דיווחים שהגיעו לידי פארס בנוגע לתשובת ארה״ב להצעות האיראניות, וושינגטון הציבה חמישה תנאים מרכזיים:

• ארה״ב לא תשלם כל פיצוי או שיפוי על נזקים.
• 400 ק"ג של אורניום מאיראן יוצאו מאיראן ויועברו לארה״ב.
• רק מתקן גרעין איראני אחד בלבד יישאר פעיל באיראן.
• לא יוחזרו אפילו 25% מהנכסים האיראניים המוקפאים.
• תופסק הלחימה בכל הזירות כתנאי לקיום משא ומתן.

• סיום המלחמה בכל החזיתות, במיוחד בלבנון.
• הסרת הסנקציות נגד איראן.
• שחרור הכספים האיראניים המוקפאים.
• פיצוי על הנזקים שנגרמו בעקבות המלחמה.
• הכרה בזכות הריבונות של איראן על מצר הורמוז.

According to reports obtained by Fars concerning the American response to the Iranian proposals, Washington presented five main conditions:

• The United States will not pay any compensation or reparations for damages.
• 400 kg of uranium will be removed from Iran and transferred to the United States.
• Only one Iranian nuclear facility will remain operational inside Iran.
• Not even 25% of Iran’s frozen assets will be returned.
• Fighting on all fronts must cease as a condition for holding negotiations.

• An end to the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon.
• The removal of sanctions against Iran.
• The release of Iran’s frozen funds.
• Compensation for damages caused by the war.
• Recognition of Iran’s sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz.
