Better late than never!

Finally found some time to reflect on the last week. Truly, I don't know from where to start writing about my thoughts on Top Uni camp.

Not gonna lie, it was one of the best weeks of the year, if not my whole life. Since I didn't prioritize my application to that camp and applied just to have some fun, I assumed I wouldn't even be sad if not accepted. But over time, this camp has proved how wrong I was. Seeing my name on the list of accepted students gave me some joy, but still I was hesitant about going. Being strongly urged by some of my friends, including Jamshidbek, I started arranging my plans according to the camp.

"Bristol, Beshni olπŸ™Œ"

Cannot even imagine how swiftly Mardonbek aka coined with these words for our group motto and how viral it went in the camp. And I even didn't know the University of Bristol existed in the UK. There was only one paradigm of discipline, leadership, kindness, and humor in the whole camp. Yes, I saw all these characteristics in Mardon aka even before the start of the camp, as in the case when he required all team members to come at least an hour earlier for registration, so we could get to know each other better. "Nima qilsezlarham, muhimi kontrolchani yòqotmelar😹" and "Vaqtida qòyilgan paxta oltinga tengdur☝️" were his notable words I cannot still forget.

Before the start of the camp, by seeing such unknown name, I thought they put me in a group filled with a bunch of mediocre students. It turned out that our group members were already selected before choosing a name for this group. And I was astounded to see that Mardonbek aka didn't choose well-rounded students only but chose the spikes, who are the best in their own fields: while someone had a good sense of humour, other students were individually best at zakovat, astronomy, volleyball, architecture, and etc. Just to name a few guys from Bristol: Rasulbek and Abror- all credit go to these 2 boys for leading the team in every event and competition and doing their best to make our team unique in every aspect. Temur and Doniyor- these men were so passionate about their fields and constantly asked interesting questions. Btw, Temur is a flex finalist of 24-25'. Jahongir and Abdusalim were pro in literally everything, ngl. The way Jahongir came up with jokes and our "ayuuu🐻" approached others with any help was different enough to stand out easily. No less credit also goes to Shohjahon, Mustafo, Muhammadsodiq, who always stood next to me and spent most of their time with me for various activities

"UPenn and NyuAD"

Our group was lucky enough to have representatives of these distinctive universities as our mentors. When I first saw Nigina and Gulrukh, they appeared less outgoing, but later little did I know that it was me who appeared as reserved to others. I absolutely adored how amiable Gulrukh(potato.rue) was during her lessons and how Nigina tried to visit our secret friend parties to enjoy Mr.Jahongir's dark and emotional jokesπŸ˜πŸ˜‚.

I am also so happy that Mr.Sega and Mr.Valera instantly agreed to have a free-talk, unlike some others who felt much arrogant lol. I took some friendly advice and suggestions from them, and I genuinely appreciate their time.

It was so obvious from the level of sessions and high-quality presentations that Freshman Academy mentors, especially Mr.Valera, and TopUni camp organizers invested significant amount of time to make this happen smoothly.

Having the chance to meet with students from the same district(Mr.Xurshid, Mr. Ozodbek, and Miss Jasmina), and also some familiar faces, like Mr.Behruz (academic weapon), and young SAT monster Mr.Shohruhmirzo(1540 at just 15😐) is what made this camp one-of-a-kind and unforgettable for me.

React with "❀️" if you liked this reflection.

With college applications looming, August SAT exam might be the last chance for Early Action/Decision applicants, so it's crucial to focus your efforts wisely. After many requests following my Ultimate Way to 1550+ file, I wanted to share some suggestions about 'Must-Avoid tips' in the next 20 days. Let's jump in!
Don't Cram.
You have already invested a good amount of time in studying for the SAT. In this case, it is much better to avoid learning new material and focus on reinforcing what you already know: you can review critical math formulas and grammar rules with these files and revisit major themes and techniques for reading comprehension in these quality books.
Don't Skip Practice Tests.
Ignoring full-length practice tests might leave you unprepared for the exam's endurance challenge, leading to the loss of concentration easily. Solving 2 consecutive full-length practice tests might be significantly helpful to avoid this problem. Also, only practice with official SAT practice tests released by the College Board for the most accurate score and experience.
Don't Neglect Mental Health.
Knowledge is surely not the only thing you need to ace a good score on the SAT. Proper mental preparation, including the sleep routine, is unavoidably crucial to consider. You can take short breaks (try the pomodoro technique) and include a few physical activities in your study schedule. Last but not least, don't forget to maintain a balanced diet and ensure you get at least 7-8 hours of sleep to keep your mind sharp.
Most of all, keep that consistency.
You've prepared this far, now it's time to believe in yourself as you take those final steps. Stay positive and take it one section at a time - you've got this in the bag!
