Telegram is worth $30 billion with only 30 employees working from home, no office.
Telegram's operational model carries a inherent vulnerability. The platform's compliance mechanisms allow for channels or groups to be shut down based on user reports. This can lead to the sudden and permanent erasure of content, undermining user investment and nullifying the considerable effort required to build and maintain these digital communities.
Telegram, valued at $30 billion, operates with a critical flaw: its reporting system is a one-way street to permanent deletion. Our investigation confirms the loss of 23 channels and groups—representing years of work—to false reports. The platform offers no recovery, no appeals process, and no communication. In the era of digital community, Telegram treats user-built assets as entirely disposable. - Cyber Dispatch

New Telegram AI-Enhanced Moderation

Telegram's content moderation efforts now heavily utilize advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning to rapidly analyze vast amounts of data, detect patterns, and identify content violating its terms of service.

Telegram initiated a significant AI-driven crackdown on harmful content, resulting in the removal of over 15 million harmful channels and groups in 2024. In summary, Telegram aggressively deletes channels and accounts, often without much public warning, except for generic violations of the terms of service.

Telegram does not have a clear policy defining the type of ban applicable to each situation. In any case, you will not receive any warning or even a chance to correct any mistakes made.

The following types of suspension are those encountered by our teams and by users who have shared their experiences.

Type of suspensions

- If a personal account is suspended, there's a possibility that the channels it owns will also be suspended. But sometimes, only the personal account is suspended, and its channels revert to other administrators.

- It is sometimes possible to ban a phone number associated with an account without banning the username, which prevents the account holder from regaining access. You're locked out. No effects on channels.

- It is possible to suspend one or more channels without suspending the account that owns them. If this happens repeatedly, the personal account will no longer be able to create new channels.

- Creating a report for a public channel or group is very easy, but the report will only be effective if it contains content that violates Telegram's rules, or if there are a significant number of reports in a short period of time.

- To create a report for a private channel or group, you must either join it or obtain the access link. Once you have this link, you can retrieve the login details and create automated (bulk) reports.

- To create a report on a personal account, the person must have previously engaged in a conversation with him; there is no other way. In this case, the account can experience limitations, and it can be confirmed using the official spambot.
