URGENT: Senator Mastriano has introduced legislation to the PA Senate known as the "Two Gender Protection Act," which seeks to legally define and recognize only two sexes—male and female—based solely on biological characteristics. This legislation mandates that all state agencies and employees adhere to these definitions in official documents and communications, effectively excluding recognition of non-binary and transgender identities.


If enacted, SB 213 would:

• Mandate that government-issued identification documents reflect only the individual's biological sex, disregarding their gender identity.

• Prohibit the use of state funds to promote concepts related to gender identity, referred to in the bill as "gender ideology."

• Restrict access to single-sex spaces, such as bathrooms and changing areas, based strictly on biological sex, potentially barring transgender individuals from using facilities that align with their gender identity.
