The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is an independent institution for settlement of sports-related disputes through arbitration or mediation. The CAS was created in 1984 and is placed under the administrative and financial authority of the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS).

The CAS has two temporary offices in Paris for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. One of them is the CAS Ad Hoc Division, tasked with resolving any legal disputes that arise during the games. Such temporary tribunals have been in place at every edition of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games since 1996, as well as at other major sporting events
.

Verdict will not come in favour as the rules are strict and unambiguous.

S. 193 IPC | When Can Perjury Proceedings Be Initiated Against A Litigant? Supreme Court Explains https://www.livelaw.in/supreme-court/s-193-ipc-when-can-perjury-proceedings-be-initiated-against-a-litigant-supreme-court-explains-266668
πŸ™ŠπŸ‘„ James Kunjwal V. State Of Uttarakhand, 2024

Perjury- 193/229 Punishment for Giving false evidence or fabricating false evidence

πŸ₯‰ At least 3 of the  essentials must be fulfilled for the Court to initiate proceedings.

1. The Court should be of the prima facie opinion that there exists sufficient and reasonable ground to initiate proceedings against the person who has allegedly made a false statement(s);

2. Such proceedings should be initiated when doing the same is β€œexpedient in the interests of justice to punish the delinquent” and not merely because of inaccuracy in statements that may be innocent/immaterial;

3. There should be β€œdeliberate falsehood on a matter of substance”;

4. The Court should be satisfied that there is a reasonable foundation for the charge, with distinct evidence and not mere suspicion;

5. Proceedings should be initiated in exceptional circumstances, for instance, when a party has perjured themselves to beneficial orders from the Court.”
