This matters because miners now produce roughly 450 BTC per day, and that number continues to slow over time. As the remaining supply is released at a much slower pace, Bitcoin becomes increasingly driven by demand rather than new issuance.

The final Bitcoin is expected to be mined around 2140. The question now is how markets evolve once supply stops expanding entirely.
