🆔 Verification will go through a new external app connected to your EU Digital ID – a future digital identity system tied to governments.
Essentially, this means: internet access via ID card.

And that’s just the beginning:

Today I read the speech by the new SEC Chair — Paul Atkins. Much of what he said truly feels like a breath of fresh air after the chaos of recent years.

🇺🇸 The U.S. is now seriously aiming to become the “crypto capital of the world” — and it’s not just a slogan anymore. The SEC’s new plan is built on three clear pillars: issuance, custody, and trading. And the most promising part? A shift away from bans, toward flexibility and progress.

😏 I highlighted three key signals from his message:
➣ Support for self-custody and staking! He says it outright: enough with restrictions. People have the right to hold their assets themselves, not with intermediaries — and staking is not a crime. This opens the door to potential yield-bearing ETH ETFs, which could reignite interest in altcoins.
➣ DeFi ≠ Criminal Activity! Atkins makes it clear: developers shouldn’t be liable for how others use open-source code. If the SEC really adopts this stance, we could see a DeFi revival — with devs no longer fearing prison over projects like Tornado Cash.
➣ Rules should adapt to tokens, not the other way around! Finally, regulators are starting to acknowledge that tokenization needs a new regulatory logic, instead of forcing blockchain projects into outdated stock market frameworks.

📈 And this isn’t just talk — stablecoin legislation is already on the horizon, and the SEC is preparing updates for issuers and brokers.

✌️ Sure, these are just statements for now. But the direction is clear: innovation thaw instead of regulatory chokeholds.
