🗣️ #Atkins shed some light on how the American regulator views the whole blockchain mess. Here are the main takeaways:

➣ Tokenization is seen as a good thing — it improves the flow of money, reduces intermediary costs, and makes financial markets more accessible to people. Classic narrative about how #blockchain and tokenization will save the world.

➣ The U.S. SEC supports tokenization, but on its own terms. Meaning: “You can do whatever you want — as long as we control who, what, and how.” Traditional #finance is already taking advantage of this, tokenizing classic assets like stocks, bonds, real estate, and the rest of the rotten fiat circus.

➣ SEC’s biggest issue remains scams and shady schemes in the #crypto market. No surprise there. They complain that people keep falling for trash coins and then come crying to the SEC to save them.
