Dapp Volume Hit $12 Billion in Q2 2020
According to DappRadar, transaction volumes for decentralized applications reached ≈ $12.44B in Q2 of 2020 with most of it passing through Ethereum.
This development represents an increase of 36% compared to the $7.94M in Q1.
Ethereum dapps accounted for 82% of the total volume. The most valuable Dapp by volume was Compound with its $1.2B.

Bitcoin fell sharply below $9,000, but it recovered quickly from the $8,914 swing low.
The price surged above the 100 hourly SMA at $9,100, plus broke a crucial bearish trend line at $9,120 on the hourly chart.
If Bitcoin fails to clear $9,200, it could start another decrease. A daily close below the $9,000 support zone will most likely open the doors for a downward move towards $8,800.

USD Coin Market Cap Crossed $1 Billion for the First Time
The market cap of USD Coin (USDC), the stablecoin issued by the Centre consortium backed by Coinbase and Circle, has passed $1 billion and it's now $1.038B.
This development represents a growth of 211% compared to the $334M in July 2019 and a 100% increase from the beginning of 2020.
Despite the growth, USDC is still far behind Tether, which market cap has surpassed $10B last week.

Yesterday, Bitcoin started a steady rise and surpassed the main $9,250 and $9,300 resistance levels. A new weekly high is formed near $9,372 and the price is currently correcting lower.
The major support is near the $9,275 level. It is close to the 50% Fib retracement level of the recent rise from the $9,178 to $9,372. On the upside, the $9,350 and $9,375 levels are short-term hurdles.

More importantly, that for 6 months, Ether has outperformed Bitcoin in terms of YTD performance: 84% vs 29%.
As we mentioned before, Q2 is historically the best three months for Ether: since 2016 no one Q2 has delivered a negative return.
However, from the same historical perspective, the third quarter of 2020 could be more challenging.
