Ronin will transition from an independent gaming sidechain to an Ethereum Layer 2 network based on the OP Stack on May 12, ending its operation as a standalone sidechain since 2021.

The migration is expected to cause around 10 hours of downtime and will reduce RON annual inflation from over 20% to below 1%.
