1. Memilih dan Membeli Paket Hosting VPS:

2. Mendapatkan Akses ke VPS Anda melalui SSH:
- Gunakan klien SSH (seperti PuTTY atau OpenSSH atau MobaXterm) untuk terhubung ke VPS Anda.

3. Memperbarui VPS Anda:
- Jalankan perintah berikut untuk memperbarui VPS Anda (asumsi Anda menggunakan sistem berbasis Linux):
sudo apt update -y
sudo apt upgrade -y
- Install common tools :
sudo apt -qy install curl git jq lz4 build-essential unzip

4. Buat User Baru dan Modifikasi Hak Akses:
- Untuk alasan keamanan, hindari menggunakan akun root untuk tugas sehari-hari.
- Buat user baru dengan hak akses terbatas:
sudo adduser username
- Berikan hak administratif kepada user:
sudo usermod -aG sudo username
- Login dengan user baru untuk operasi sehari-hari.

5. Aktifkan Otentikasi Public Key (opsional) :
- Buat key pair SSH di PC Anda:
ssh-keygen
- Salin public key ke VPS Anda:
ssh-copy-id username@ip_vps
- Sekarang Anda dapat masuk menggunakan private key tanpa memasukkan password.

6. Mengatur zona waktu untuk menghindari kekeliruan (opsional)
- Contoh:
timedatectl set-timezone Asia/Jakarta

7. Konfigurasikan Firewall untuk VPS Anda (opsional)(untuk pengguna berpengalaman) :
- Siapkan firewall (seperti UFW atau iptables) untuk mengontrol lalu lintas masuk dan keluar.
- Izinkan layanan yang diperlukan (seperti SSH), buka akses node (contoh 9090/tcp dan 3000/udp) dan blokir yang tidak perlu.

3. Revitalize Your VPS: Infuse it with Freshness Through Updates:

4. Create a New User and Modify Privileges:
- For security reasons, avoid using the default root account for everyday tasks.

5. Enable Public Key Authentication (optional):

6. Configure timezone to avoid confusion (optional)
- Example:

- Set up a firewall (such as UFW or iptables) to control incoming and outgoing traffic.
- Allow necessary services (like SSH), node port access (example 9090/tcp and 3000/udp) and block unnecessary ones.

Heads up!

The team is making progress on the improvements on the staking contract. Soon (most likely around the end of this current week) we will publish an update that will make your node migrate to the new optimised staking contract. The upgrade will take effect on a future block still to be determined.

This is going to be the first important organised test within ITN and it is paramount that any node-runner will upgrade as soon as they can to be ready when the block comes.

Those that will not upgrade before the designated block will be hard-slashed. This will impact the uptime way more than any VPS-related incidents, or other issues that node runners might have experienced so far. Please follow the announcement channel as the details of the upgrade will be published there.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, the team is still working on this and we do not expect to publish the stake enhancement upgrade until later the week or early the next.
