Gold Under Pressure Ahead of Key U.S. Inflation Report
Gold remains under selling pressure as rising oil prices and renewed U.S.–Iran tensions have increased inflation concerns and strengthened expectations of a more hawkish Federal Reserve.
The market’s main focus today is the U.S. Core CPI report, with expectations at 0.2%.
Higher-than-expected Core CPI: Increases the likelihood of a Fed rate hike, which could trigger another wave of selling in gold.
In-line or lower-than-expected Core CPI: Reduces rate hike expectations and may support a short-term rebound in gold.
Key Technical Levels
Major Support: $3,885 – A potential buying zone if buyers step in.
Short-Term Resistance: $4,050 – Sellers may re-enter around this level.
