How is the US economy affecting crypto ?
This week's session began with an exploration of Business Continuity Planning and the lack of engagement by blockchain projects. We then looked at the US economy, latest payroll data and what's happening with crypto. We also looked at recent announcements…
In UK, the biggest crypto news this week was probably the donations by two crypto billionaires of £72 million to a political party. In the US meanwhile the latest changes to the Clarity Act are due to be considered by the Senate on 15th Sept. In other news, US President Donald Trump has downplayed risks posed by artificial intelligence following days of dire warnings by experts.
One of the warnings came from a former Anthropic researcher who said "there is a strong chance that we could all die in the immediate future" if the current pace of development continued.
