A session with a difference as we took a deep dive into Solo Automotive, a Canadian-based initiative about transforming mobility and the automotive business - with the aid of Bitcoin and Solana! A great session where we were joined by Solo's Will Fan who shared some of the details of the project. Last week we took a look at the transformation of cars and Mobility As a Service and heard from one of the firms leading a drive (pun intended) to pod-like single seater vehicles. The crypto connection was the ability to purchase/finance the vehicles with Bitcoin, Solana or stablecoins. A further extension was to tokenise ownership and introduce a fractional, RWA-style mechanism for vehicle sharing. In a previous edition we heard from a founder who is tokenising their (rare and valuable) cello and looking to extend into tokenising fractional ownership of fine wine and even trees!
